Uh, yeah, the First Lady does. Her office released a statement about US immigration policy. That's the basis for Griffin's stupid tweet.

She expressed an opinion just as many on this board have. That has nothing to do with American Immigration Law, which she did NOT put in place and had nothing to do with.

So what was distorted about what Kathy griffin said?

Nothing there deserves the response that she was given.

Even for comedians it makes more sense to make your point by attacking the issue and not the person. All we're going to get out of this kind of thing is people defending sides than talking about the issues. Separating kids from their families is ridiculous and unnecessary; if they apprehend families then keep them together until their situation gets sorted. I'd like to see the same zeal applied to the benefactors of migrant labor who aren't being treated this way and are as big a part of the problem.
