is this what a majority of Americans want to happen?

Children have been taken from their parents before this. This is a straw man to attack Trump. The only thing new that Trump is doing is that he's not acting as a turnstile for those illegally entering the country as family units. The old policy of catch and release is over. This will show that efforts to actually stop illegal immigration are now turning serious and will act as a further deterrent.

Most Americans want our borders secured. Liberals dont. I would have no problem with keeping the families together in holding facilities while their asylum case is reviewed. If they dont qualify, then we kick them out. But the left would bitch about this too.

Maybe it's because this... Obama Lures Tens of Thousands of Foreign Children Into Cages, Then Sickens Them With Bad Food and Then Dumps Them on the Street | AUN-TV ...wasn't reported by the Mainstream Media back then.

You mean swings from enforcing the law back to allowing law breaking? Trump actually isn't doing nearly enough. Many of the people defying Federal immigration law by running sanctuary cities should already have been arrested. Immigration is 100% the province of the Federal government, per the Constitution. Any governors or mayors interfering with it are breaking the law.

You don't seem to care about your law breaking president so in this new era where the leader is not even held subject to the law, why should anyone care about illegal immigrants?

Obama broke the law consistently, so did Bill and it was supported by Hillary. It's hypocritical to talk about Trump, especially since he has done so much good in short order.

If people come into a country illegally, and drag their children with them, and never apply for citizenship, hey, that's on them!
These clowns are on the news all the time, saying they have been here for 5 years, 10 years, 20 years and now they are getting deported. Try doing that in Mexico!

Politically motivated make believe crimes concocted by Democrats, are not real crimes. Trump has no need whatever to dip into the Trump Foundation and most of the money in there was the Trumps' own to start with. They also had offered to close it two years ago. The Stormy nonsense long ago ran out of steam.

Well them there immigration laws are just all made up and illegal immigration is just a GOP conspiracy.

The new policy does not apply to asylum seekers who enter the United States through an official port of entry without paperwork; those people would only be placed into immigration proceedings.

Guess he didn't learn the first time. No sympathy there. It is HIS FAULT that his daughter was separated, through HIS OWN actions.
