Leaked intel report undermines Trump’s claims about North Korea deal

Chamberlain sat down with his perceived greatest national security threat in 1938. The "cards" he brought to the table included just 20 operational, first line fighter planes.
That meeting bought Chamberlain the best deal he could hope for.... time.

Dotard sat down with with his perceived greatest national security threat in 2018, a dictator brandishing a rudimentary nuclear arsenal with warheads untested against the hazards of ICBM reentry heat, or targeting
and delivery. The dictator's goal was to preserve absolute authority over his family business imprisoning 25.5 million captives.

The "cards" dotard brought to the table included ten nuclear capable, nuclear powered aircraft carriers fielding the most advanced fighter planes in the world in the greatest number, one
component of a triad nuclear force of ballistic missile submarines and a fully array of ICBM and airforce bombers and fighters.

The dotard wanted to be liked and made no secret of it to the dictator. That meeting bought the dictator the best deal he could hope for.... time. The dotard assumes the dictator likes him,
but just to be sure, he sweetened the pot at the expense of two of his country's closest allies, South Korea and Japan, conceding to the dictator before consulting with either of the two allies.

You post is nothing but a mindless Trump hating rant. No need to dissect it any further than that.

First of all, you would be doing yourself a service if you started threads with the original article instead of the drivel from the echo chamber.

Anyway, this "leaked Israeli intelligence report" sounds so suspiciously like the kind of rhetoric we've seen from all of the anti-Trump media, I seriously suspect Barak Ravid just made the whole thing up.

The one making things up is Trump. Funny is that you still haven't figured that out.

I might also point out that neither the Panmunjom Declaration or this much ballyhooed "letter" says a single thing about missiles. Funny how that happens.

This is not a final agreement. It was a framework for future negotiations. Our troops remain. The sanctions remain. The next step is up to Kim. Put your Trump hate to the side for a bit and see what happens.

Thing is you believe anything negative about Trump is made up so your point is kind of moot...

I gave the reason why I suspect it's made up. Can you dispute that. Can you present anything that negates my reason?

I don't think so. That's why you come out with your "You...blah, blah, blah." This is a quite typical response from you. There are very few times that you present reasoning.

Unlike Jet, you present whataboutism...then you attack me. (Not sure which is worse...you or him)

However, like Jet you present nothing that actually disputes my opinion.

So it goes...

It's not a whataboutism. But yours certainly is projection; your side is the one that makes things up.

Who made up the made up collusion narrative? That would be your side.

shrug...

I talk about an article writer. You respond by talking about Trump. Yeah...that's pretty much whataboutism from you, right there.

And then you do it again in THIS post. LOL!!

It's the same argument some reporter made to Pompeo ... that “full, irreversible, and verifiable denuclearization” doesn't mean “complete” denuclearization.
He responded ... "You're just – because "complete" encompasses verifiable and irreversible. It just – I suppose we – you could argue semantics, but let me assure you that it's in the document." and then said ... "Just so you know, you could ask me this – I find that question insulting and ridiculous and, frankly, ludicrous. I just have to be honest with you. It's a game and one ought not play games with serious matters like this."

Yes, it's a ridiculous argument to make but totally in character for a DP bomb thrower.

i generally assume that the opposite of what Trump says is true. works pretty well.

Personally, I am not a fan of Israeli intelligence. It gets used politically.

Which doesn't make what was said wrong.

Foreign affairs is tough. Most presidents screw it up, to one degree or another. Few do it worse than President Cheney, but Trump is pulling that one off.

During WW2, Churchill and FDR wrote letters back and forth, lots of them. This led to an agreement about what they would try to do after the war. They didn't want to go into WW3 a generation later, the way WW2 followed WW1.

Instead of treating enemies badly, like we did in WW1, we were going to treat them as well as we could, and make them allies.

It worked. We didn't get WW3, and the economic alliances made remarkable economic growth possible.

It wasn't just economics, NATO was there to guarantee stability.

That also worked.

We are one of the wealthiest countries precisely because of those alliances.

Trump is running them through a shredder.

It's worse in Asia.

To cut any sort of meaningful deal with North Korea, we need support from China. That's just the reality on the ground. Trump didn't arrange for 5 party talks, more to the point, he didn't include China. Instead, he has done a number of things that piss them off.

There is a surprisingly long list of Trump foreign affairs mistakes, considering it's been a little more than a year. I am not going to type them all. More importantly, a lot of you need to learn why they were mistakes.

Alliances are voluntary. You don't get to keep kicking them in the nuts, and keep their cooperation. The world is rearranging itself right in front of you, if you are paying attention. And it's a world where we are at the back of the pack, not the front.

I pretty much assume that the opposite of what the media says about Trump is true. Works pretty well because after I make that assumption, I look at the facts and find out my assumption was accurate.

You do no such thing.

Whatever Trump tells you to believe, you believe.

that strategy would work well if your goal is to be militantly incorrect.

Really. Looking at facts makes me "militantly incorrect" (whatever THAT means)?

I see you've learned your lesson from the media well: Utter the most hyperbolic nonsense you can think of because it makes you feel smart and effective...and forget the facts.

North Korea has no intention of denuclearizing.

They know we desperately want them to denuclearize, so they are telling us what we want to hear, in order to get what they want from us.

they're not dealing with barry anymore.

saying things out loud does not constitute facts. i find that i have to remind Trump supporters of this fairly often.

This is merely another sick, demented, twisted thread simply hoping for a Trump failure, rather that what is good for the nation and the world. God forbid Trump succeeds. He'll never stop bragging. Damn the goals, we can't have Trump with more bragging rights.

Dictators do not just magically become reasonable overnight. Kim produced nuclear weapons as part of his actions against the US. He isnt just going to abandon them without something BIG in return. If there is no progress (which there cannot be) then WTF was this meeting good for? Trump is married to success of this meeting. Failure will only be bad for him publicly. He was stupid enough to put himself in a no win situation.
The emboldened is your problem here.
You do not know that.

So take the wait and see option.

How long are we going to wait this time? Last time we waited for NK to stop their nuclear weapons program they failed to stop at all. Now here we are with a president who is pretending that they will do it this time. I thought that Obama was stupid but Trump takes the title now as being even more stupid.

Any wagers on how long we will have to wait this time? Your only argument could be that Trump threatened Kim in private. But given Kims behavior he would be saying all kinds of crazy **** right now. Yet he isnt. That leads me to believe that Kims success in playing Trump like a fiddle depends on continuing his con. ANd the reason thats so obvious is that NK had nothing to bargain but nukes and thats still true. If Kim gives up his bargaining chip right away he has nothing to bargain with in the future. Yes we will wait and see, but do not get your hopes up. Speaking of hope, if this deal fails then Trump fails along with it. Trump made a no win situation for himself probably over the delusional belief that he is a strong leader and can scare his opponents with the button. It seems that he didnt think it through with what would happen if Kim wasnt impressed.

How long? iLOL Wait and see. To the rest? Bs.

You mean how we waited last time that NK made such promises then built missiles? Of course it all depends on Trumps state of mind at 3AM on twitter. Perhaps if people keep dissing his little trip to Singapore it will be sooner than later?
