The #BoycottDeNiro movement is spreading online

On the contrary, I've been battling the Left on various forums since 1996. Their arguments are always the same.

Yawn.

Not if his wife chose it when decorating their home. They often do. Many men today are under their wives' thumbs for some reason. I don't know how they stand it, but sure, I can see him having a De Niro poster for that reason. His Trouble and Strife said so.

So you are blaming his wife for having that picture up?

It doesn't work that way. Most women, when decorating their homes, don't choose framed pictures of actors as a part of their decoration. They go to Pier 1, or Bed, Bath and Beyond, or Pottery Barn. They choose nice things, nice colors that work well together. They choose decorative motif that goes along well with their color scheme. They choose knick-knacks to place on tables, and have framed pictures of the family on the wall.

I have never met a woman who would be OK with a framed picture of an actor on the wall - especially not a woman who would deliberately include it in her decor.

This is the first i have heard of a boycott . . guess ill actually have to go look for the video of what he actually said . .
Im "guessing" it was nothing that i care about or will affect me

people are free to boycott, id bet this one fails but thats not the point its expression

You didn't find the alleged rant so you lose.

Go back and read again as I gave you a much longer, much crazier, much more outright bonkers rant that DeNiro did.

If you cannot accept that, it says much about your own mindset.

The issue isn't 'insulting the president' and never was. That goes on all day every day in every Fake News organization and has been for two years.

Don't understand. What did the actor do that was more than a crude, classless insult of the president, (aka, imitating Trump). As to fake news, you believe Trump more than the news media? You haven't seen the lists of Trump lies? Of course they appear in the fake media, so why should we care, despite how well documented they are. There obviously is no need to believe anything anymore thanks to Donald. Trump's philosophy is like Pilate's, "What is truth?", though one gets the impression that old Pontius was conflicted, a condition Trump wouldn't understand.

I didn't stop watching Clint Eastwood movies because he bashed Obama.

i didn't, either. i don't really care. that chair thing was weird, though.

as for DeNiro, he's one of my favorite actors, so i don't plan to stop watching his movies any time soon.

Bobby DeNiro's acting career has been going downhill for years, why not get back into the scene and be noticed by dissing our President ?
Boycotting "Jimmy Conway" ?
It's best to ignore him as DeNiro slowly becomes senile. Think I'll watch "Casino".

Predictable heckling. Boring.

There's that pesky perspective thing again. They're only harmless hecklers if they're yours. They're raving Neanderthal's if they're the other guy's.

That's the only that's really predictable here.

And for future reference: Hecklers try to disrupt the speaker. So Trumps low forehead types weren't hecklers. And Neanderthals were probably pretty peaceable types or lest they'd probably still be around.

I think we should all boycott Deniro, Ted Nugent, Clint Eastwood, Barbara Streisand, Dixie Chicks, Alex Jones, Ann Coulter, Bill Maher, Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Rachel Maddow, Rosanna Barr, Rosie O'Donnell, The View, FOX and Friends.

****ing boycott everybody. We all spend too goddamn much money anyways.

It'd be better if you left Clint out of this conversation. Dude's still hitting directorial home runs.

Clint, DeNiro...

Same difference.

They should shut their pie-holes and read the script. Neither have any political credentials. Just a couple of blowhard actors.

Geez. I just saw what you had for dinner.

So you are blaming his wife for having that picture up?

Why not? Most men today say, “How high?” when their wives tell them to jump.

True, the De Niro print would be in a minority of homes. Most women wouldn’t want them. The number sold online is tiny compared to the population, but you know what they say? There’s one in every crowd.

I have never met a woman who would be OK with a framed picture of an actor on the wall - especially not a woman who would deliberately include it in her decor.

I haven’t met a woman yet who is in the army, works in road construction, a mechanic, an engineer or a stand-up comic, but TV keeps showing them springing up everywhere. In fact, when I watch a stand-up comedy show nowadays more than half the stand-ups are female. The number of blacks, Indians and gay comics has exploded too apparently, though I haven’t met any.

I see a lot of talk but no Eastwood rant. When you find it, let me know.

You can figure this out. According to your attitude, if I take the entire De Niro/Trump story and place it in box ‘A’, and then another story about a bum down the street under the bridge, who said the same thing De Niro did, to a couple of other bums, and put it in box ‘B’, I can then say, “The stories in box A and B are exactly the same and will have the same effect on our society.”

As to fake news, you believe Trump more than the news media?

Do I believe Trump more than Fake News? You bet. A million miles of nothingburger sausage isn’t worth one second of Trump’s time.

You haven't seen the lists of Trump lies?

I saw them unraveled and straightened out on Fox News. Others I unraveled myself. Here’s just one off the top of my head. Trump feeding Koi with the Japanese Prime Minister. They both feed fish, and then the PM tosses all his food into pond, so Trump copies him. Fake News shows the clip, only they edit out the PM tossing his box of food in, so it looks like only Trump did. Then they start posting this up all over the net and TV:

New York Magazine: Trump Under Fire for Improper Fish-Feeding Technique

Jezebel: Big stupid baby dumps a load of fish food on Japanese koi pond

CNBC’s Christina Wilkie (in a now-deleted tweet): “Trump and Japanese PM Shinzo Abe were scheduled to feed koi spoonfuls of food. Until Trump poured his entire box of fish food into the pond.”

New York Daily News: Photo of Donald Trump dumping fish food into koi pond during Japan visit draws Obama comparisons

The Guardian: “White House reporters, keen perhaps to pick up on a Trump gaffe, captured the moment when he upended his box on their smartphones and tweeted evidence of his questionable grasp of fish keeping. Some speculated that a poor palace employee would be dispatched to the scene to clean up the mess as soon as the two leaders disappeared inside.”

CNN: Trump feeds fish, winds up pouring entire box of food into koi pond

Veronica Rocha: President Trump feeds fish with PM Shinzo Abe in Japan, then pours the entire box of food into the koi pond.

The CNN example included edited video that zoomed in on Trump to only show his face and prevents the viewer from seeing what Japanese Prime Minister Abe was doing at a key point of the short event. Abe was deliberately edited out.

Media shows why it?s so mistrusted after falsified Trump fish-feeding ?story? | TheHill

They do this all the time. Fake News.

Dude, then go back and hide under the rock you've obviously been under for years.

We'll let you know when it's safe to come out. Maybe then, all the black folk will be back in the fields and all the wimmen will be in the kitchen, barefoot and pregnant.

Fake News.

In your case it might pay to provide evidence for your claims. Not fake evidence, mind. Real evidence. You will find it impossible of course, but at least try.

I could care less what any of these actors have to say about politics. I love when they tell us to not use coal or go green and they have the carbon footprint of dinosaur. I do construction and here is this actor with 7 5ton AC units running up $5000.00 electric bills tell me to change my light bulb in the closet to LED. They are so full of it.

Like the Founding Fathers' mothers and wives? :D

So because wealthy, land-owning white guys said something was ok 200+ years ago, it should be OK now?

Nah. They owned slaves, too.

We grew, as a country, for the better.

Too bad your mindset is still stuck back there.

Excellent video - thanks. Yes, I watched it, and you can see the script here.

A brilliant skit. No swearing. Smart. Very good political points given.

Nothing like the Neanderthal De Niro or his thuggish, violent rants.

You and I do not inhabit the same reality. There is no point in trying to talk sense to you as you are living in denial.

They don’t have TVs down under? You really didn’t see Trump rallies where Trump supporters yelled “lock her up” where fights broke out?

So because wealthy, land-owning white guys said something was ok 200+ years ago, it should be OK now?

Weren’t the Founders’ mothers living proof that their way of raising children was spectacularly successful?

Too bad your mindset is still stuck back there.

It’s too bad you have abandoned your history.
