America Last vs America First – Obama vs Trump photos

Alienating his allies and cosying up to dictators. Winning.

And being a billionaire does not make you a good person or a good President. He was born into wealth.
Alienating allies.

If allies are really only our buddies from rearview and only if they are the ones pumping money out of America wells while giving us the shaft, we need to come to the realization of that reality. We depend on them interdependently, but they moreso on us. Things always change and insightful leaders notice, have a feel for where things are headed. In the 70s our war torn but, with our help, recovering economies worlwide, allies and enemies, rose up as real competitors again.

Yet American taxpayers and our young men and women have specifically assured Europe and our allies in the Pacific a continued more than adequate defense. Now that each has resumed state adulthood, they need not suck from the American teat...theyve coasted at our expense a minimum 2 decades, since the fall of the curtain.

No, but going from a million or so up to Billions in the private sector is generally more highly regarded. Than those working the system from the political inside, surely. If nothing else a voluntary exchange of actual goods and services must occur to survive ongoing in the private business world.

Talk to Haitians about the Clinton Foundation...thats just one in many "anomolies". Its not whatabout, it was whatsthechoice? We just took the lesser of the evils...and we got lucky.

You dont think so. I know so, at least to my value system. Perfect, no. But its idiotic to sacrifice very good on the altar of perfection. Especially if its the utopian altered altar model.

You guys do this incessant chicken cluc cluc cluck worrying thing every single time. Then Trump wins. Y'all go straight on to the next cluc clucking event. Its all a part of the entertainment.

Trump is a global joke. Only Russia is happy with him.

Trump cult members don't mind that he's alienating our allies while shilling for Putin. They don't mind that his policies make no sense.

So, let me ask you to explain: Is Trump for global free trade? Did he run promising global free trade?

Trump's eldest son compared two photos with a meme that reads 'America last vs America first.' The top photo shows former President Barack Obama, smiling alongside German Chancellor Angela Merkel, among others, at the G7 summit in Germany in 2015.

The other photo is of his father and Merkel from this year's summit. The pair have eyes locked, with the chancellor leaning forward with her hands firmly on a table, glaring at Trump, who is seated with his arms crossed and a smug expression on his face.

Whats a joke is your summary of how things are in the world. Despite the consistently negative press the American people are seeing thru the fake news and liking what is being accomplised and Trump is trying to do...impressing Americans is his only real job.

Whats your exact definition of global free trade? We can decide from there.

America First!

Trump has only accomplished alienating our allies. Having lots of strong allies is what makes America great. An isolated America hated by the world is weaker not stronger. It's the power of American influence that stretches across the entire globe. That's only possible because of our allies. Do you understand this?

Global free trade is trade with every country without any trade barriers like tariffs. It means a company can move to Mexico, benefit from cheap labor then sell the goods back to the U.S.

Personally, I'm not completely on the free trade side or the protectionist side. I think every country needs to protect a few industries but overall free trade is good. That's why NAFTA and TPP are good ideas.

Trump has no coherent trade policy.

Trump is more like Russia first.

Besides Trump complete incoherence on his trade policy we have him advocating for Russia.

He says Obama was weak for allowing Russia to take Crimea but Obama and allies kicked Russia out because of it. Trump wants to let Russia back in. Trump is being even weaker by totally ignoring Russia's annexation and even making excuses for them. He's doing this all while under investigation for Russian collusion. It's shocking how Trump supporters can be fine with this.

That's what I said - it was great. The Left are very good at faking things up. Did you see the one where they made Trump's ass bigger using Photoshop? If they can't find anything bad about Trump, they can always fake some, invent some, and then send it out there as though it's real. It's all they have.

Trump just makes it too easy.

And the right is not innocent of making stuff up and fooling people into believing it.

That a major issue with both sides.

We point out the other side's propaganda and ignore our side's.

Which means we ignore the problem of propaganda itself.

Or to use the new term, persuasion.

What folks learn in communications, political science, marketing.

It permeates our discourse, and is directly responsible for the current divide in this country.

They arent really alllies if they dont really want to deal fairly...only wanting, hand out, rarely recipricol in giving back. Trump is out to right that wrong. Better we find out who our true allies are.

Trump, FreeTrade, you mean like this?

Each country has to try do what is in its ultimate best interests. It is time for America to reassert what is un our own best interests after decades of taking it in the pockets and in the rear.

Yano?

"America first" was the slogan of a group which opposed fighting Adolf ****ing Hitler.

Translation: We must all cut off our legs because Hitler had legs. We must all cut off our noses because Adolf had a nose. We must all burn our houses down because Adolf had a house. We must all stop using the name 'America' because Adolf used the word many times. We must never again breath air because Adolf breathed air.

The National Socialist Hitler did many things we do. He wore clothes. Used buttons, shoes, hats, umbrellas. He like music. He drank water. If you hate someone you can pick on any of these and say, "You must be National Socialist Hitler because he also drank water!"

Obama's policies made China stronger and the U.S. weaker, and all American businessmen had to deal with that, including Trump. As a businessman his job was to make his company as profitable as possible, so like any other U.S. company he would have to have products made in China. As POTUS he is working to change that situation so American businessmen can once again produce stuff in the States. Lefties don't understand any of this since they are anti-capitalists. It goes right over their heads.

From Forbes:

Obama's Policies Make China Stronger And The U.S. Weaker

Trump just makes it too easy.

It’s easy whoever you are, when Fake News want to make you look stupid. Trump is more difficult for them because unlike all other politicians he fights them back, ferociously and fearlessly.

Trump acts just like many very ignorant Americans want a POTUS to act internationally. He has no desire to work with anyone, everything is win/lose and he could care less what anyone thinks of him. This is how many Americans view the rest of the world. It is how the term ugly American became more than just a caricature or stereotype, it is actually very real as anyone who has been around some of these people abroad know first hand. He will go one day, we will pick up the pieces and make friends again but we will never, ever be trusted again. Trump showed the world that there are enough ugly Americans to control our government and that scares the **** out of the world. The end of our era is near, we can never go back now.

Fecklessly and foolishly, more like.

Those are the words Fake News would replace ferociously and fearlessly with, yes. Keep it up and you might get a job with CNN as a copywriter.

Or the correct words for the subject at hand.

"Fake news" is a tried and true authoritarian tactic. A common practice in the science of persuasion. The purpose of which is to limit or prevent exposure to counter-messaging.

So color me unimpressed with your going with that.

He has no desire to work with anyone,

Telling a lie enough times does NOT make it true.

The fact is, Trump has ALWAYS and CONSTANTLY asked others to work with HIM. They keep refusing.

I'll just put that through the De-Fakerizer machine. Here we go:

You know, I'm left with the impression that more progress to the ultimate goal of reducing / eliminating perceived unfair tariffs could have been made if all the confrontations and consternations had been behind closed doors rather than in public view.

That being said, haven't the NAFTA talks been going on for a number of months behind closed doors already? With seemingly little progress being made?

Maybe this is an alternate tack being taken.

But then again, that might just be me. In the end, it'll be the results that'll count. Lets see if those results are achieved, or not.

We seem to forget that there are very few who are in all these meetings, and the vast majority of those reporting and second guessing are doing so from what appears to be a distinct lack of inside information.
