NFL Protests - Time To Put Up Or Shut Up

Sure, cops arent special. If we can take ordinary citizens to court willy nilly then why not cops? No one should be above the law.

Who the hell would want to be a cop? Unfortunately, it's easy to make the wrong split second decision.

That is not a resolution to the issue since they are protesting about ongoing injustices. How does pardoning those wronged in the past stop them from being wronged in the future?

Just saying, if the NFL protesters can't come up with any names of victims of social injustice then there are no cases of social injustice.

And they ought to be personally liable for any crimes they commit like falsifying evidence to get bogus convictions or unlawful killings.

They are.

Context matters
Someone killed by police never got charged.

Most of them have numerous charges in their file already. In almost every single case, we're not talking about black goody two shoes. We're talking about people who were already criminals to begin with.

Why yes, of course they have a precog who can provide the names of people who will be mistreated by law enforcement before it happens.
Exactly what is the president supposed to do about LEO's treating civilians improperly? And again how is proving the name of someone who has been wronged now going to help someone who would be wronged 3 months from now? The issue is the system or rather various systems across the country.

Don't you think the president is willing to at least right some wrongs? Shouldn't NFL'rs take him up on his offer? The NFL protesters should just say **** you, MR. President?

Obviously not, what an amazing and convincing bit of logic.

Life would be so tranquil if only if was only as simple as our Supreme Leader and his simpleton supporters think it is...

Can they come up with any names or not?

Let's be honest. The government should not be in the business of summarily executing its citizens.

And the citizenry shouldn't be rationalizing such events with a shrug about how insignificant they are and a "well those people probably did something wrong!"

Let's be honest. Out of the billions and billions of police interactions, this almost never happens.

Well, out of all police interactions, we're probably only talking about 1% of them. The police get crapped on over that but get no praise regarding the other 99% and the 1% is what makes the news. And, the protests are NOT about police brutality. They are about police brutality regarding blacks. And, in virtually 99% of the cases of police brutality, the so-called victims (let's be honest, criminals) themselves invited the brutality by resisting or otherwise disrespecting the police first and the police over-reacted. The way to avoid this is either by not being a criminal in the first place or not resisting or disrespecting the police at the time of the interaction. That's the message which is getting lost. Instead of the SJW's fighting for the rights of criminals, they should be trying to implement programs to stop these people from being criminals in the first place. Where's that message?

To crib a bit from Chris Rock, there are jobs where 99% isn’t good enough. If 99% of airline pilots didn’t crash we’d still be ****ting all over airline pilots.

Brutality is never invited, anyone who says otherwise is a fascist. A six year old kicking my shins warrants being subdued but that absolutely does not justify brutality.

I mean listen to yourself. You are justifying brutality and murder because police may have been “disrespected.”

I love how many people get charged with resisting arrest. Which bring up the question why were they being arrested in the first place

I don't even see lefties trying to claim that these people shouldn't have been arrested. I mean Michael Brown was a thug who just robbed a store, was illegally under the influence of pot, and had tried taking Darren Wilson's gun away from him. Now you can argue that Wilson went too far (even though even Obama's henchmen refused to indict Wilson on anything) but you can't argue the guy was a criminal thug in the first place. Ditto just about every other encounter that makes the news.

Nope. Sovereign immunity usually means the city and taxpayers pay for the bad things they do.

That's just plain ridiculous. Those that commit grimes and are found guilty are charged and even put in prison. It happens all the time. But, courts do have to weigh the fact that these employees are in a unique and often life and death split second decision situation and you can't charge them with that.

Ummmmmmmmmmmm. Humans are humans and humans make mistakes, including airline pilots and police officers. It would be ridiculous to put a surviving airline pilot in jail for the deaths of their passengers because he made a crucial mistake. Pilot error is the leading cause of crashes. Ditto police officers.

So which people are the criminal thugs? Identify who you are talking about

Ummmmmmmmmmmmm. The ones we are talking about. I doubt you could point to 10 cases where a black person was unjustly killed by police and that that black person had done nothing wrong and had no criminal record. By the way, resisting police is doing something wrong, in case you were not aware of that.

If they are only charged with resisting arrest, then clearly they should not have been arrested in the first place. Making the charge resisting arrest, just a means of punishing someone they do not like

Police have to have a reason to detain you, not just because they want to. Resisting a police officer who is abusing their 'power" is not wrong, but fully within the rights of an individual, white, black or green

The NBA player was not resisting police yet he was assaulted by the police over a parking ticket. Just write it up and go, nope have to put the beat down

Making a mistake in the line of duty is not the same as making a mistake for no reason. Cops are put in situations where mistakes are possible, even likely for someone without training, all the time. When one's job is to constantly make difficult, even life and death, decisions, that's not the same thing as Joe negligently shooting someone for no apparent reason.

Beating a man who is already handcuffed isn’t a mistake it’s a crime.

Please show links that these people were only arrested for resisting arrest and that's it. In just about every case these people are criminals and thugs who don't like to be arrested.

Ummmmmmmmmm. The police have a reason to detain in every case I know of. Do you have links to many where there was no reason to detain them? One or two doesn't count. There will always be a small handful of exceptions.

Are you talking about the black policeman who beat the crap out of a black man in Arizona? Let's be honest here, Kaepernick et al weren't kneeling during the anthem to protect people from bad black cops.
