The Trump administration announced a trio of executive orders that will make it easier for federal agencies to fire employees — a move that officials say is aimed at using taxpayer dollars more efficiently and not in response to Trump and his allies' belief that some career officials are purposefully sabotaging his presidency.

Government serves on behalf of the people, not the president.

American Federation of Government Employees President J. David Cox Sr. called the executive orders "democracy busting" in a statement. "Our government is built on a system of checks and balances to prevent any one person from having too much influence," Cox said.

"President Trump’s executive orders will undo all of that. This administration seems hellbent on replacing a civil service that works for all taxpayers with a political service that serves at its whim.”

IMO, Pruitt is Trump’s canary in the mine.........if he is toppled, Trump is not far behind......

1-Trump...nor any other president...has the ability to erase law with executive orders. There is nothing he can do to change existing federal employee law.
2-Do you have the first ****ing clue what you are braying about or are you just braying because....TTRRrruuuuuuuuummmmmmppppppp!!!!!!!! ?
 
and require all federal employees to devote at least 75% of their work hours for agency purposes

Other than folks on a site like this, my sense is that most Americans will approve. That includes Democrats,Republicans and Independents. You might have forgotten the VA scandal and how our Vets were treated but if so you are in the minority. Not sure why you think that has anything to do with what Trump will do versus what line managers will or will not do.

Most people who work live under exactly these conditions. Do your job or get out. If you are found spending much of your time looking at porn and the company finds out you are gone.

The reason politicians wont do this is because there are millions of Federal workers who vote. They are cowards, who put their office in front of the people they allegedly represent.

Trump has done plenty of stuff worthy of attack, this is something I think most will applaud.

As a citizen, you have only two ways of controlling the bureaucracy:

1. Elect Congressman who'll pass laws controlling them.

2. Elect a President who will create policies to control them.

That's it.

But they work for the President...not for the people. They work in the agencies that the President controls. The people don't control those agencies.
