Trump wanted to cancel North Korea summit before Kim Jong Un could

Oh, he got a lot more than $1 for 10 cents in his university scam. And yes, whether you are aware of it or not, you are enrolled in Trump U right now.

"Bill Richardson is just a guy." Funny. And what about the rest of the people released by North Korea under Obama? Were they "just people"?

If you are going to call Trump University a scam then you have to call all universities a scam. People that graduated from Trump didn't nearly have as much debt or pain as many who graduate with a worthless degree.

Believe that.

We got prisoners back for nothing. We are playing the Koreans like puppets.

The U.S has everything to gain and nothing to lose.

Had Kim cancelled the meeting, they'd be crowing about that as well. For them, it's pure insane hatred of Trump above all things.

I kind of pity them...

No discipline. No vision. Just making the U.S. look bad -- which we deserve for electing Trump, but it still stings.

Yeah, but it was an obvious outcome. Saw it coming a mile away (from the start actually). Un doesnt need Trump. Un isnt going to decnuclearize anymore than he has to (but his nuke program is failing and China's on his ass about it...China calls the shots there, not Un). And certainly Trump wont make any denuclearization concessions.

Only reason IMO that Un wanted America involved is to make himself look like the great global peacemaker. Without nukes...he has no more leverage, no more reason for attention. Trump kept trying to steal his thunder.

Both want the spotlight, both want the credit, each knows the other is a loose cannon that they cant really control.

It's all about saving face.

The only way Trump ever gets involved again is to help support SK decisions IMO.

Sigh...

Trump conned at least 6000 people (the number of people represented in the class action lawsuit) to the tune of $35,000 each for a total of 210 million dollars for his Trump University scam. He pitched the curriculum on the premise that they would learn his real estate secrets from his personally hand-picked instructors. He had no relationship with the instructors and the customers lost tens of thousands of dollars each for nothing. In fact, even when they did receive real information, they could expect to learn to commit illegal behavior. However, Trump University wasn't finished with them quite yet. There is the 98% approval rating Trump famously touted. What he did not elaborate on was that the customers were made to write non-anonymous reviews before they were allowed to received their worthless degrees (T.U. was not an accredited university) or receive extra help from instructors, which is basically the equivalent of being told at a restaurant that you won't receive your car keys back from the valet until you write a Yelp review while the manager is watching you write it. Only, the latter is nowhere near as bad, because if you did decide to write a terrible Yelp reviewer after the fact at least you'd have your car back. If the students announced after the fact that the University was a scam then they'd be broadcasting that the fake degree they just paid $35,000 for was worthless.

And yes, you are basically enrolled in this university now.

Trump was bred to make deals. It is in his blood, from his father, to his grandfather.

Kim Jong un is a thug but Trump is the king of cartelle capitalism. This will not end in the favor of NK.

You can kiss the ring of Trump all you want, but NK still has nukes and there is nothing you or Trump is going to be able to do about it.

Bill Richardson is just a guy. Trump is the guy. He is a master negotiator. He has negotiated deal after deal, he even wrote a book about it.

Trump is a guy that gets $1 for 10 cents. He's that good.

LOL at Trump's book.

Trump's ghostwriter regrets writing that book.

Trump is mostly show and little substance as far as a businessman. He has to lie about his net worth. A net worth which is smaller than that of others with similar start-up money. He gets people to buy into his hype ... that's what he's good at ... not at actually building anything worthwhile ... and he leaves a trail of destruction in his wake. His carefully managed image in The Apprentice had a lot of people buffaloed. His White House shows what an incompetent he is. With the spotlight on him now, he can't hide behind NDA's and phony PR. I look forward Summer Zervos getting her hands on the Apprentice film which didn't make it onto air.

Are you dense?

Trump has more nukes than Kim. We can bomb nk and all that would be left is dust.

Nope I am not dense. Trump is not going to bomb a country and potentially kill millions on the South Korean peninsula, collapse the Asian economies and potentially start a war with China AND Russia. Are you dense?

Trump will do what is necessary. He will bomb them before they attack us. You can take that statement to the bank.

No thanks, I don't take statements to the bank that will bounce like that one. Tell you what, I bet you an entire year membership fee here in the next year Trump will not attack NK and they will still have nukes by this time next year. Want to take that bet or run away? Time to put your money where your mouth is dude. :lamo

Donations silly. One year of what donations would be. Are you going to run away now like you normally do?

By fealeasing the prisoners North Korea gave up nothing but a headache.

We will be long in our graves from natural causes before any American President would ever have to make that decision. We need to get over ourselves in this country before we do something truly stupid.

Of course you have a deal. I never lose. Ask agent j

He's a damn foul mouthed, crude, lying, cheating reality TV game show host. What did this country expect when he took office?

The Trump presidency is essentially running Reagan's playbook just more efficiently and effectively. We need to return to a Cold War mindset.

Trump is the El Hefe. IMO at this pace, he will outperform Reagan in every measure to rate a great president. #MAGA!

Wow, two days ago the talking point from Command Center Democrat was that Trump would sell the farm to salvage a meeting with Un instead of canceling when it was obvious it wouldn't be productive.

Now the ministry of truth has set you straight, no Trump wasn't supposed to cancel!

It is with mixed feelings that I think about how we learn about the details of this mess.

That's more embarrassment to the nation -- that Kim and the rest of the world get to learn the details about the people within the administration who are giving Trump such questionable advice and feeding his worst impulses while others who need to be in the loop are shut out.

I'm mostly glad the information is available to us. We need to know how bad things are.

But I'm sad that things are so bad and sad that the rest of the world can see our dirty laundry.

Whatever Kim is, he's actually followed through on his public campaign to calm tension. He helped salvage the Olympics, talked with Moon, talked with Xi, disabled some old testing facilities, released hostages, and offered to meet with Trump.

What have we given-up? Nothing. As a matter of fact we have unreasonably asking for Kim to "just trust us" in handing over his weapons, while Pence and Bolton speak openly about a Libya plan. You don't have to be very smart to read that as "we plan to kill you eventually!", so we can't really blame them for getting upset at the administrations rhetoric and making clear that they don't trust us.

Today's Cable News Network pieces provide yet more examples for the unscrupulousness of the 24/7 Cable News Networks. They bring on analyst after analyst with their long list of credentials and then the host simply asks who is winning and who is losing questions one after the other after the other.

"What would represent a win for Trump"
"What would represent a win for KJU"
"What would represent a win for the world"
"Who is winning right now and who is losing right now"
"Who is calling the tune at the moment"

Its all complete and utter drivel.

The guys they have brought on as expert analysts are never asked what they think in their opinion will happen should a summit take place. They are never asked because it is not a who's winning and who's losing question and because the real value that expert or analyst brings to the table is in fact his or her opinion about what might actually happen. We would not actually want to offer the audience anything of actual value now would we! Lord knows the 24/7's would not want to risk not being able to just tease out all of the who wins and who loses possibilities.

I have even seen some of these experts throw up their hands and just say it....just offer the only opinion they can offer that has any value or any merit in these discussions regardless of whether or not they have been asked. They are probably relegated to the "experts bench" whenever they have the audacity to do such a thing.

You could take the "who's winning and who's losing" garbage if it ended with one relevant question. But no, we get "well thank you Mr Expert, we are out of time now....bye!!!!"

It has just gotten so bad now. Its terrible, when you consider the stakes. Unscrupulous is being too generous.

These leftwingers just don't get it. Pulling the rug from under Kim let him know that he wasn't holding any cards. Trump was holding all of them. This is called using leverage from a superior position to get the other guy to do what you want. Kim shut up and came running back to the table. It obviously worked.

Ive noticed a similar pattern with domestic policy. It doesnt seem to matter whether a certain bill or course of action is right or wrong, but who wins and who loses. It is a very lazy and superficial form of journalism
