I have heard a few people swear up and down that whites and blacks have different cultures/life styles, have also heard the same thing about heterosexuals and homosexuals/bisexuals.

So what do you think?
In the US are black & white culture fundamentally different in substantial way?
In the US are hetero & homosexual orentation culture fundamentally different in substantial way?

and of course the follow up questions:

what is white culture/lifestyle?
what is black culture/lifestyle?
what is heterosexual culture/lifestyle?
what is homosexual culture/lifestyle?

There are certainly cultural differences between different groups of people. Some can be good, and some can be negative.

1.) I agree in general wide open terms
2.) thats subjective

but the question was is there a substantial difference in the us between black and white and heterosexual and homosexual and what are they those groups cultures/lifestyles if they are different.

to answer my own question I personally dont see any substantial difference that isnt completely made up and or sensationalized/worded different to make it seem different.
In the US everything i see is still very individual and not group based.

I think its more based on social status. Poor class, middle class, 1% lifestyles, etc. Not sure that I ever saw a homosexual culture, although HIV was a huge problem in the gay community, and while it is easier to control now, is still an issue.

So your answer is no then?
so based on your answer is what is

1% culture/lifestyle
middle class/culture
poor culture/lifestyle

There are black and white cultural differences in certain ways, most of them are not bad or good one way or the other. I believe that cultural differences that we can discuss as a "bad" or "good" are based on one's social status not their race.

Are they substantial and what are they? whether it be race or social status?

Some of them are substantial, as we can see in regards to the likelihood of single parent households repeating similar behaviors which continue a cycle of poverty. Things like this are certainly substantial problems in society. As far as racial ones go, many of them are simply different ways or opinions on living. Most of them are not right or wrong one way or another.

i dont think thats a culture or lifestyle thing. To me thats circumstances more so than anything else. What makes that black culture?
When i think culture and lifestyle I think about what people want in life, what they are taught and what is part of thier make natural make up.

Do you think blacks want to be single parents, are taught they should be and its part of thier culture?
and then the follow up is always what about the millions of black families that are not single parents families? and the millions of whites that are single parent families?
If thats black culture then those millions must be rejecting it? If its not white culture then those millions must be rejecting it also?

Is that what is happening, those people are rejecting thier culture or are they all just people in those circumstances?

There are cultural differences between lots of groups of people within America. Black, White, Asian, Native-American, etc. But a lot of times, since this is America, the biggest melting pot on this planet, a lot of people here have integrated together, and share one big culture together. Mexican, Chinese, Indian restaurants are all over the damn place. It’s safe to say that pretty much every culture that has come to America has mixed into the pot in some shape or form. Which is a good thing, IMHO. I think for the most part, the cultural differences between the races here are not so substantial that it divides us by race. That’s why now people of every race can get along with no problem. Many of my friends are not white. My girlfriend is Hispanic. Race doesn’t really make much of a difference anymore; it doesn't for me and a whole lot of other people. And for the most part, in terms of how day-to-day life plays out from one person to another, class plays a lot more of a role in that.

Now, when it comes to heterosexual/homosexual “culture”, I don’t really know if there are any “cultural” differences when it comes to that. Because that’s just dealing with what you are attracted to sexually. I mean, I act just like any other straight person would act through day to day life, I just so happen to also like girls. Gay people find people to date, straight people find people to date. Gay people have sex, straight people have sex. Gay people start families, straight people start families. Not really a big difference at all.

I didn't say single household families was a black thing. Its a poor thing.

Couldn't agree more and I think you are spot on. Ive seen no proof of any real culture differences that can be assessed to the groups of black and white and that actually defines them and separates them.

I also agree about gay lifestyle culture, ive never seen one and nobody has been able to factually define one. Everything they name is the same as heterosexual culture/ lifestyle.

I didn't say single household families was a black thing. Its a poor thing.

my mistake but not sure how that changes my question. . . simply answer the questions and use poor . . .
and answer what you think racial ones go as far as simply different ways or opinions on living.

Gay people don't like Queen as much as drunk straight people do. There is your first cultural difference

The modern feminist movement in the Western world as well as an increase in governmental assistance has moved single parenthood from a position that was once looked down upon(with understandable reasonings) towards a position that now garners praise by others. Many people in the poorest sectors of our society are raised by single parents and they often continue this style of life. It is not a surprise that it has grown to be the problem that it currently is. While I wouldn't say many of them do not wish to be better off, many people share the viewpoint that getting pregnant, and having multiple kids so that their governmental assistance is never taken away is certainly a way of life in our nation.

1.) looked down on? to praise? again from what groups are you now talking feminist culture?
2.) again that seems like circumstance, not culture and lifestyle
3.) Many? many of who all those below the poverty line? once again seems like you are talking circumstance and individuals and nothing of culture. The follow up again would be what about all those that do NOT subscribe to what you outlined. what is thier culture? are they rejecting that culture and why?

If you are having trouble following simple ideas I question your ability to understand anything further that I state. There is nothing circumstantial to having unprotected sex in careless manners because you know that as soon as you squirt out a few kids, you will be getting hundreds a month of free money.

LMAO par for the course!!!
You mean you cant support your claims on how you consider what you described to be an actual culture/lifestyle with the group you specified nor can you answer simple question about your position . . . . so now you try (and complete fail) to blame me for your faults and short comings? got it LMAO What a great day! Funny how angry some get over honest, logical and relaity based questions

when you CAN do those things please let me know, until you do so the failure will continue to be yours, thanks!

Why do you post so many lies? LMAO no you didn't ill ask them and wont even scroll all the way back ill just ask the last couple you didnt answer.

this one is fixed to reflect poor not black white like i pointed out in the next post below

If thats poor culture then those people must be rejecting it right

Is that what is happening, those people are rejecting thier culture or are they all just people in those circumstances?

my mistake but not sure how that changes my question. . . simply answer the questions and use poor . . .
and answer what you think racial ones go as far as simply different ways or opinions on living.

this one you ignored

you also ignored question 1 and 3 here.

you also ignored question 1 and 3 here.

1. Is not even a proper sentence in English. I am still unsure what you were trying to say here.
3. Many people that do not subscribe to what I outlined has chosen to follow different cultural ideas than the one they were born into.

Your other one was an edit that you made later as you can see by my initial quote of your post. Maybe don't edit things and expect me to go back and read your old posts.

1.) so you are still dodging it?
let me help you since it was so tough
looked down on? to praise? again from what groups are you now talking ABOUT feminists? (as opposed to poor)
2.) why? how do they just do that if thats is thier culture as you proclaim? is it many or is it most or just a few that dont subscribe to what you claim is thier culture? if its anything less than majority how is it thier culture based on what logic?

now the other questions you skipped AGAIN

3.) answer what you think racial ones go as far as simply different ways or opinions on living. This is what you said so what are they?
4.) Do you think poor people want to be single parents, are taught they should be and its part of thier culture?

So what do you think?
In the US are black & white culture fundamentally different in substantial way?
In the US are hetero & homosexual orentation culture fundamentally different in substantial way?

and of course the follow up questions:

what is white culture/lifestyle?
what is black culture/lifestyle?
what is heterosexual culture/lifestyle?
what is homosexual culture/lifestyle?

Are you asking if there are differences that are 100% or are you excepting things like generalities but there is also tons of overlap and it's not a hard and fast rule, to include complete flip-flops of the generality?

1.) so you are still dodging it?

1. Still horrendous English, but I wasn't talking about feminists. I was stating what contributed towards the acceptance of single parent households.

2. Many do continue these lifestyle choices. I do now believe that in certain groups, single parent households are more likely than two parent households.

3. If I understand your broken English, in regards to racial group differences some groups are more likely to put more emphasis on family rather than the individual. Different opinions on religion being a large part of their lives, etc.

4. I think many of them are yes.
