Today Trump who is under investigation is pushing an FBI conspiracy theory. He claims the FBI has been conspiring against him. This despite the FBI helping him win and Trump praising Comey for his actions.

In the Oct. 31 remarks, Trump, who had previously criticized Comey for not bringing charges against Clinton, said he had to give the FBI credit.

"That was so bad what happened originally, and it took guts for Director Comey to make the move that he made in light of the kind of opposition he had where they’re trying to protect her from criminal prosecution," Trump said at a Michigan campaign rally.

"It took a lot of guts."

I like the one where Trump puts live Gummy Worms (LIVE ONES!) in Nancy Pelosi's ear, and they try to eat her brain. I understand it didn't work. Seems them worms all died of starvation. Trump's such a loser.

Manafort was part of the campaign was he not? The object of the tap need not have been Trump himself. You're parsing words. I also never said a thing about Manafort's guilt or innocence because it is irrelevant to the claim you made above.

Did they wiretap Trump or not?

The answer is no. They wiretapped Paul Manafort. Maybe Trump shouldn't have crooks with deep Kremlin connections as campaign managers. Don't blame the feds for doing their job.

It's a fact that Trump was not wiretapped. His phones, his offices, his home was not wiretapped. The criminals he does business with were. Is there any doubt that Paul Manafort is a criminal? No.

If I hire a mobster as my business partner, do I have right to complain that I was wiretapped because my business partner was wiretapped? That's totally absurd. Maybe I shouldn't be doing business with mobsters. That's common sense.

Unless you have evidence that Obama ordered the wires tapped, that is, actively interfered in an ongoing investigation, it's still a conspiracy theory.

Had Manafort been charged with a crime? He has no presumption of innocence because you say so? The campaign was tapped. Meetings among staffers that included Manafort were tapped. So, if Trump says that "he" meaning his campaign, was tapped, that's an accurate statement.

This seems a bit backwards. Usually evidence is gathered prior to charging crimes. If Trump wanted to be surrounded by criminals, he got his wish. No fair crying after the fact. But he only hires the "best" people...lol.

Not sure its good either way. If Obama didnt know, its actually worse. That people in Justice or the FBI wold authorize surveillance on members of an opposition partys campaign without notifying the president is really scary. But if this sort of thing doesnt bother you, keep in mind that the 2020 election is coming up and the Russians will certainly try to insert themselves into it. You wont mind, of course, if Trump authorizes spying on the democratic campaign just to protect them. Right?
