Et tu, Morgan????

The difference is that President Trump doesn't act more "virtuous" than the rest of us. He doesn't lecture us on virtue. He's not preaching how women are subjected to mistreatment by men.

LOL, Trump has stated numerous times that "nobody has more respect for women than me". As another poster pointed out, considering that the freakin' president of the United States has been accused by multiple women of sexual assault, and yet continues to be president and has millions of adoring fans, one would think that obviously sexual assault isn't that important to the American public.

I don't know if Freeman is guilty or not (i'll admit it doesn't look good), but it's a massive double standard that his career will likely end up in shambles, while Trump's continues. I guess true elitists like Trump will never pay for their "alleged" crimes, while others without such power will.

Damn, that is sad indeed, but it's actually infuriating (I say that as a woman). One accusation....okay, maybe she's a gold digger. Two accusations? Tread carefully. But 16? There's truth to this. Major truth. Weinstein is turning himself in today. Cosby was just convicted. Others paid a price by losing their jobs, roles, etc. Okay, he deserve a trial and the right to confront his accusers in court. But from everything in your article, the SOB is guilty to me.

Shameful how vulgar the stories are that we are learning of.

Except for the president of the United States, he gets to keep his job...

I am neck deep in victims.

Its gets old.

Maybe if men didn't sexually assault women so much there wouldn't be so many victims.

Well now this is just sad.....

[h=1]Women accuse Morgan Freeman of inappropriate behavior, harassment[/h]
16 people speaking out on being victims of harassment, inappropriate behavior, and unwanted touching.

https://www.cnn.com/2018/05/24/entertainment/morgan-freeman-accusations/index.html

I want to just write this off as being an old guy from another era with different expectations of behavior...but...

In this case I think it's a decline in his senility. It is sad.

That is certainly a factor but it doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be called out on his bad behavior. Times change and we have to be able to adapt to those changes. Also, it is one thing if these cases were from 20 years ago. That would indicate he did change with the times. But 2015? Unless he is senile or living in a bubble, two things I highly doubt with Morgan Freeman, then he knew better.

Actually, I think senility has everything to do with it.

I haven't been this disappointing since Geoffrey Rush's name came up. However, Hollywood needs to the shake the culture that power brings entitlement to women's bodies.

It is sad, but what's sadder are conservatives who choose the wrong people to be sad for.

Of course the saddest of all are conservatives who want to give a free pass to reprehensible behavior due to 'expectations' from another 'era'.

Like when they excuse our Rusky in the WH for his treatment of blacks and women for example...

Whats is most is sad are the pathetic leftists that are so consumed with their hatred of TTTTRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMPPPPPPPPP!!!!!! that they cant have a conversation.

Given that one of the things Freeman is in trouble for is trying to lift women’s skirts, that may be problematic.

;)

That movie is officially dated.

If you think this is just Hollywood (and government)...

Every other institution has a reckoning a coming.

What I keep wondering is why these accusations are only being brought against high profile individuals. Why aren't we seeing any "I was sexually harassed by the janitor who cleans the McDonalds."?

It's happening, you just don't personally see it.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

All you can get you by suing the janitor is free TP and paper towels.

I just saw that he lost the Vancouver Public Transit gig...the dominoes are starting to fall! I hope he spends the rest of his life in shame and in court rooms!:2razz:

While there are well documented cases of sexual assault and abuse (Weinstein, Cosby, etc.) this has gotten totally out of control. Giving a woman a compliment on her appearance is NOT sexual harassment. If it is, then women should stop wearing makeup and jewelry and fixing their hair. They do this to look attractive. That's the reason so why would they be offended if they are complimented on it? This has become bizarre in the extreme and if this is the "brave new world" we're headed to, then we're in big trouble. Much like the SC justice who said he knows obscenity when he sees it, most rational people can tell the difference between a compliment and harassment.

You know the answer. $$$$$$$.

Nobody is going to jail for "complimenting a woman on her appearance."

Correct. It is not profitable for news media to spend time on these cases. They happen, they are prosecuted, you just don't personally see them because you don't actually care.

I hope not, much as some think that's "harassment".

The intricacies of human interaction are far too complex for meaningful discussion off your vague description.

"You look nice today." is complementing appearance to some.

"Nice tits baby." is complementing appearances to idiots.
