Video posted on social media shows Lahren getting heckled by diners at the restaurant, with some calling her a racist and yelling. As Lahren walks away, a woman appears to sling water at her back from a glass of water.

Lahren said the restaurant patrons’ behavior was “not something that I’m not used to,” and admitted it was embarrassing, especially with her mother there.

“You don’t have to like me, you don’t have to agree with my political opinions, but you don’t have the right to throw things at me,” she said. “But again, I’m tough, I can handle it.”

Comedian Kathy Griffin also stuck up for Lahren against those at the restaurant. She tweeted on Tuesday night that she “couldn’t disagree more” with Lahren, but she has a right to her views. “The first amendment is a beautiful thing,” Griffin added.

I don't care about Trump praising her, as that is not the point of this thread. Why do annoying assholes feel the need to start **** with people in public? Like a lot of people, I'm not a fan of Tomi Lahren. She always the one complaining about "liberal snowflakes", but when someone on the right gets attacked, then she gets all offended. And a lot of other stupid ****. But don't throw a ****ing drink at her and yell at her, you morons that did this. Let the woman enjoy her meal with her mother. Like, seriously, this should not be something I should even have to say. But apparently I do, since people think that kind of behavior is okay. It's not. And thankfully, most people I've seen have condemned this behavior towards her.

Assaulting someone is wrong, no matter what side does it. But you know everyone is going to come in here now and point out the Lahren said something or did something, so shes a hypocrit. And then someone else is going to come in here and say, oh so you support assaulting women.

etc
etc

There's a thread on this. I agree with what you said - people shouldn't bother other people who are on their private time.

But I watched all of the videos that appear to be on the internet, and Tomi Lahren was the one who walked to the other peoples' table. Not the other way around. She was leaning over some diners at their table. So I'm going to have to say she was equally wrong here.

Such a gentleman! Trump leaps to defend Lahren within 24 hours of the water landing on her arm, but commending the "good guy withOUT a gun" who disarmed a mass shooter, took three weeks. I wonder why?

Physical assault (and yes, that's what it is when throwing water on someone in that manner) should never be acceptable. I don't believe people are free from criticism, but yelling at her in a restaurant is a civil matter for the restaurant and they should have been more aggressive in removing those heckling patrons from the restaurant.

Just like there is no law that prevents her from being an asshole in what she says, there is not freedom from criticism due to what she says either. However, people should abide by laws and show restraint and not heckling someone in a restaurant either. Physical assault is never the correct answer.

If she did, then she was wrong for going over there.

Yeah, there are some videos posted in the other thread started by Bucky. I looked at all of them, and looked at Twitter. In every one of them, she's the one leaning over the other diners' table. She walked over to them. They were wrong to act like assholes when she's simply eating a meal and minding her own business. She was equally wrong to go over to their table and lean over them as she did.

Should Tammy have had water thrown in her general direction? No.

That said, she’s a rancid asshole and can’t disappear fast enough.

hehe...heya, Guv'ness... Re: the bolded, why would you ever think that, given the climate you live in? I don't like it either, but you guys aren't exactly prioritizing classiness or civil discourse for the most part. It must be getting a lot easier to say "**** it", when it comes to politeness, especially for people who act like complete assholes in front of millions of people.

Nah...I don't like it...but no sympathy for people who profit from sowing division either. They get paid well enough for their notoriety, perhaps this is the earning it part.

I found out about this from Phillip DeFranco, and he said that according to the bouncer present she apparently said "just another day in the life" to the girls that were apparently scowling at her, and that's when someone threw a drink at her, and then she went to confront them.

The only video I saw of a drink being thrown at her was when she was leaving the restaurant and it was tossed in her direction. If that was before she went to confront them, I didn't know that because there are snippets all over the internet and not a full stream. Do you have a link for that?

Scowling at someone isn't exactly a reason to be upset. I was out with my husband and some friends last night watching the Tampa-Washington game 7. I was rooting for the Caps and scowling at 2 guys in Lightning shirts.

There is no full video, unfortunatley. Someone just took a few Snapchat snippets of the incident.

The video I am referring to is this one which has the bouncer's statement in it :)18 sec mark)

Thanks. I didn't watch all 15 minutes but I went well past the bouncer. So if I get this right, she made a comment to people who were "scowling" at her? I guess it's good that the guys I was scowling at last night didn't get all worked up about it and made a comment to me.

Oh no, I didn't expect you too. And LOL, I guess so! :2razz:

There are a lot of people today who feel that they are entitled to this, that, or the other. One thing some people feel they are entitled to is the abuse of those they disagree with.

I thought when I saw the video how wrong this was and thought that no matter what you should not attack anyone in public. My second thought was that the president has made this okay to do by going after people in his audiences at his campaign rallies. Telling those that supported him it was okay to go after those there that he would even pay their legal bills if they did so. While I still say that it is not okay to do so, I lay some of the blame for these actions against woman and those who go after those speaking Spanish or just being black at the feet of this president.

I'm cool with the heckle, since that's what she sort of does herself, but throwing water was not a good move.

I'm glad our president is focused on important matters.

Isn't it obvious what Trump is doing? It's just like the NFL issue. He's taking sides in a liberal vs conservative culture war. He's doing everything he can to inflame it. Why would the POTUS be tweeting about some YouTuber who got water thrown in her face?

And I totally agree that she should be able to eat without being harassed. But she went to their table and confronted them and got in their face then she bears some responsibility. She wasn't just sitting and eating when someone threw water in her face.

Edit: I watched the video and it seem that she made a comment, "just another day in the life" and that's when they threw water at her. Now her comment is a bit...racist. She's implying that they're gang members in the hood life. So, she still bares some responsibility.
