There is no spy.

“Spygate” made its debut on Wednesday morning during Trump’s “executive time,” the period during which he watches “Fox and Friends” before starting his official day. The term is a shorthand meant to refer to a scandal that Trump has insisted is potentially the worst in American history, easily eclipsing Watergate.

Trump’s claim is that the FBI put a “spy” in his campaign at the behest of Barack Obama’s White House as part of an effort to undercut his candidacy by alleging collusion with the Russians. It’s hard to square that claim with 1) Trump’s repeated insistence that the Russia investigation began only after he won as an excuse for the Democrats’ loss, and 2) the fact that America only learned about the investigation into Russian collusion after voting had already occurred. If Obama and the Democrats put a spy in his campaign to undercut his chances, they made a small strategic error by not mentioning anything publicly before votes were cast. But that’s the claim, because internal consistency is not a requirement for any conspiracy theory, much less this one.

The "evidence" for this theory is laughable:

1. A college professor reached out to swampy campaign out of concern w/ the campaign's connections to Russia
2. That same college professor had coffee w/someone in Swampy Campaign one time.
3. Ex-campaign adviser Michael Caputo says there is a second spy.
4. Lots of other people are telling swampy there are spies.

You mean the same college professor who is on the FBI/CIA payroll, performed a similar service during the 1980 election, confirmed as an "informant" for the FBI/CIA by numerous media outlets is just a concern troll offering information about Russian Hillary Clinton emails? Wow, what a coincidence.

How do you get so much wrong in one line???

  • There's no evidence of an "insurance policy" either.
  • There's no evidence of Hillary/Bill Clinton being in cahoots with Christopher Steele.
  • There's no evidence that the Dossier was falsified (indeed much has been proven true).
  • There's no evidence that the FISA warrant application for Carter Page was solely based on the Dossier (indeed we know it wasn't per Nunes).
  • There's no evidence that Comey/Rosenstein/McCabe were in cahoots with Hillary/Bill Clinton.
  • There's no evidence of a cover-up against the newly Trump-appointed DOJ heads, nor is there evidence of their being complicit in some plot.
  • There is no evidence of a "deep state" mobilized against Trump - indeed nobody can even name who belongs to this cabal.
  • There is no evidence that Papadopoulos was deceived by any spies, nor is there evidence that Howard was in cahoots with Clinton.
  • There's no evidence that the foreign intelligence services connected with delivering the Papadopoulos conversation to the DOJ were fabricating anything or in cahoots with the Clintons.

Yup. Trump has become essentially the same thing as Alex Jones.

Any day now, expect to see rage-filled tweets about how jet fuel can't melt steel.

1. The professor wasn't ever paid by the FBI/CIA.
2. There's no evidence that Halper did anything illicit during the 1980 election.
3. Halper is a Republican.
4. Halper isn't connected to the Clintons.

The only reason there aren't public guffaws over thus labeling the information that's being floated as evidence is that the person who introduced the claim happens to be POTUS and has the power to direct federal resources to do his politically retributive bidding. Don't be surprised if a banana garden appears at the White House.

He was paid over a 100k by the US government in 2016 and 2017. The Washington Post reports that other aides turned on him re: the 1980 Carter spying, and he denies it.

The friends that Swampy keeps talking about are almost certainly Sean Hannity and Alex Jones himself.

Was he paid by FBI/DOJ? Might want to look that up.

The Washington Post reports that other aides turned on him re: the 1980 Carter spying, and he denies it.

You mean when he was accused of obtaining information for the Reagan camp? There's no proof he did anything, unfortunately.

Have no fear! Nunes and Gowdy are gonna go get the super secret briefing (for their eyes only!!), and then tell us what we need to know from it! Surely that will clear it all up.
It's not political, they just aren't inviting dems because you know, stuff. And it's Gowdy and Nunes again no surprise, it's not like they have done this many times before in such a clearly non-partisan fashion! Don't be suspicious of them...be suspicious of the FBI investigating Tump! Wink wink.

Nuts.

Welcome to the Realty-TV Presidency. Trump lives off of drama, creating it through any means is pretty much his greatest skill.

You guys demanding evidence? That's rich!

And sorry, but even the New York Times admits that the guy is a FBI/CIA snoop, or "investigator", as they put it.

I didn't demand evidence. I laid out the so-called evidence.

How do you know it's not God? I assume Lucifer would like Trump.

I would think, like usual, trump refused to pay Beelzebub for some contract work they had.

True, however, In Supernatural the TV Series, Lucifer routinely uses right wing revisionist history to turn the story of Lucifer against God, and the character calls all the bad things ever said about him, "fake news." :lamo

Hahahaha !!! The stupid, its spreading !

This was WaPo's last attempt to debunk Spy gate....

FBI didn't use a informant to go after Trump, they used one to protect him...

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wa...asnt-to-go-after-trump-it-was-to-protect-him/

AND

Clapper : Trump should be happy FBI was SPYING on his campaign...

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/v..._that_the_fbi_was_spying_on_his_campaign.html

Now theyre claiming a undercover FBI paid informant sent to collect information on Trump campaign officials wasn't a " spy " ?

I know right? This is looking mighty desperate for the progressive/liberal traitors supporting a sitting administration spying on an opposing campaign....

Did Comey just confirm the spying on the Trump campaign?!? :lamo

Facts matter. The FBI’s use of Confidential Human Sources (the actual term) is tightly regulated and essential to protecting the country. Attacks on the FBI and lying about its work will do lasting damage to our country. How will Republicans explain this to their grandchildren?
