Clapper claimed planting a spy in the Trump Campaign was a good thing to find out what the Russians were doing... but...

If this were true, wouldn’t they want to plant spies in the Clinton campaign too?

1. She had dealings with the Russians where they got the sweetest deal on Uranium through Clinton/Obama.

2. She hired folks to create a dossier, and the foreigner doing this worked with Russians to create it.

3. She had an illegal server that was compromised. She could have been blackmailed not just by Russians, but others. This isn’t worthy of intel services spying on Clinton?

Amazing the Leftist media isn’t asking Clapper, or just openly in discussions, these very simple questions.

This is the value of free speech... and why defendants shouldn’t speak... but I’m happy Comey, Clapper, Brennan and Yates are, for the more they speak, the more the keep revealing... not just about themselves, but how fundamentally corrupt the Goebbels Inspired Media Propagandists (GIMPs) are.

Not only that, Hillary Clinton arranged a private, off the record meeting with the Chinese ambassador in mid 2016. I wonder what they were talking about.... no I don't. She was selling policy ahead of the presidency she thought she was going to win.

At first, the very idea of Obama spying on Trump was insanity and now the liberals are desperately changing their story that spying on Trump was necessary!

Obama's administration was so arrogant believing that Trump would lose they probably thought that they would be rewarded by President Clinton for their hard work!
 
To add to the three reasons in the OP, there are a 4th and 5th.

The DNC Server should have been inspected by the FBI As it was hacked by foreign power(s)... errrr Russians... but did they?

We do not know, though Democrats have made the claim.

Hillary’s server and devices.

So many reasons, yet nothing done... no spying on Hillary and her campaign.

Why not?

The Chinese ambassador requested the "off the record" meeting with Kurt Campbell, who worked for Clinton. How do we know this? John Podesta's hacked emails. Clinton didn't arrange nor attend this meeting. In fact, she wasn't even copied on the email.

Anything regarding Hillary and e-mails should be met with extreme suspicion. Remember she used code names to talk to Obama.

How many other campaigns had CIA or FBI infiltrators (informants/spies) placed in them to ferret out possible Russian agents?

Clinton? Bernie? Bush? Cruz? any...?

Btw: Which candidate for POTUS took cash from Russian interests either as fees or donations? Nothing there merited further investigation?

So her emissaries met with the Chinese ambassador on her behalf. That totally changes the shady nature of the meeting.

By the way. Campbell never met with Cui. Cui emailed him. So you continue your false narrative. Don't be like Trump every day in the week. It's unseemly.
 
Clapper is more living proof that Intel Officers/Investigators are blithering idiots when they try to engage in a political environment. Comey was, McCabe was, Clapper is. Plus Clapper is out there peddling his new book. What a shock, another ex-intel officer peddling a new book. Editors must be camping out on their front lawns like lobbyists looking for a Congressman.

All of them need to get off the air and out of the media business and the 24/7's need to stop giving them platforms to simply prove that they are blithering idiots in the political or media environment.
