Trump and his fans can whine all they want...

...but the investigation will continue. Nothing they do or say will stop the investigation. Once that ball starts rolling there is no stopping it.

They can investigate the investigators. They can fire dozens of people. They can point all kinds of fingers and froth at the mouth over dozens of Hillary and Obama conspiracy theories. They can create a thousand conspiracy theory threads. At the end of the day, all their distraction investigations will end like their Benghazi investigation or Clinton Foundation investigations. They will go nowhere.

I'm done arguing with Trump fans. There's no point. Nothing, absolutely nothing, will change their minds about their beloved Trump.

The finding of Mueller's investigation will be revealed.

You can hide, you can run, you can distract but ultimately the Truth will come out.

Anyone notice Trump and his people are sounding even more desperate than usual? I think they know the end is coming and they're throwing everything and kitchen sink. What you gonna do Trump when they come for you?

If Trump weren't guilty, he would let the investigation continue and not give it another thought. But his National Security Advisor has pleaded guilty and talked, his personal lawyer has been caught with millions of dollars, many in his campaign have been indicted or are cooperating. His campaign manager is drowning is charges. You can be surrounded by this many dirty people and be clean. That's just common sense.

Like you said, if Trump tries to shut down the investigation every detail will be leaked. His only last desperate hope now is to try the OJ defense. The cops are dirty, I've been framed defense. His fans will buy it but the moderates won't.

Anyone notice a pattern?

i think that he'd still fight it. however, his attorney has secret bank accounts for bribes to be used for payoffs. FFS, this isn't even a good detective novel.

One problem with this is that practically everybody knows what an unethical sleazoid Trump is. We've known for decades. But people voted for him even knowing this.

Even knowing this, evangelicals called him a man of God and said he was a good role model for children.

So people will say, "What has changed? What do we know now that we didn't know before?" We know a few more details, but the essentials remain the same. And the result among moderates may be a collective "meh". Exhaustion. Numbness.

And those hypocritical evangelicals who called Obama a Muslim and Trump a man of God will march straight back to the polls to do their duty and keep Trump in power. They won't care how many of his associates are indicted.



Of course, Trump could go completely off his nut obsessing about this and rant even louder and longer than he is already doing. The exhausted people might be motivated to vote against him just to get some peace. That would be sweet.

At this point, I just want to see the report and form my own opinion. If it shows an utterly corrupt President and campaign and people say "meh", then that's up to them. If people don't care then it will set a new standard for the level of corruption we tolerate. I'm only one voter. If the majority of the electorate don't care, there is nothing I can do other than watch this country fall apart.
