The U.S. cannot be trusted

This is academic [look it up] because Obama is no longer president. But your distractions are noted.

You are being incredibly disingenuous. You know that the majority of USians range from loathing Trump to wanting him gone, forever.

Who is the bigger liar, Trump or Obama? Remember, your credibility is at stake.
Its QUITE relevant because Obama made promises that he was not able to keep. The whole premis of 'trust' centers around the country and treaties...and there were none in place. Obama ****ed people over and left only empty promises. Now they want to **** themselves over Trump because of Obamas deliberate failed promises.

Did that have anything to do with a totally intransigent Republican Senate?

Remember, your credibility was at stake and you've already stuck a big knife in it.

personally, I would not trust my own government to do the right thing at any given moment, what ever that right thing may be.

we are (currently) in a state of complete ****ing lala land here in America

what a ****ing charade .............

My New Zealand friend taught me an apt phrase ...

He said that from his part of the world it seems that the U.S. has "utterly lost the plot".

https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/lose_the_plot

Lose the plot:

To cease to behave in a consistent and/or rational manner.
To lose sight of an important objective or principle; to act contrarily to one's own interests through concentrating on relatively unimportant matters.

I dont play stupid games. Trump and Obama are both liars of convenience. But right now, the person with the greatest credibility gap is you. You are desperate to make this be about TRUUUUUUUMP! Thats pathetic, dood. Seriously. The fact REMAINS...where trust is an issue because of 'broken promises' there was no American agreement...there was no treaty. Just the empty promise of a guy that ****ed you and left you wounded.

As far as the Iran deal is concerned, Obama lied his ass off.

Your opinon of MsClinton is higher than mine. I see her as Trump in a pants suite who plays the game slightly better nothing more nor less

She would have gotten a free pass.

That's all conservatives do. This is what you are doing now.

Maybe when you learn how to spell 'dude', you can be taken seriously.

Who is the president now, Trump or Obama?

Yes, there was an agreement. Just ask the other countries involved whether there was an agreement or not. This is exactly why the title of this thread is, The U.S. cannot be trusted.

Usually countries are loath to be so brutally honest but the swamp Trump moved into is just too stinky - this is what happens when you install a serial liar, a self described sexual predator, a braggart, a fraud, a crook, a sleaze bag, ... as your president.

Michael Forbes and the other citizens of the tiny Scottish community Trump wrecked must be really enjoying this. I wonder why no one has interviewed them.

Who is the bigger liar, serial liar, pants on fire Donald Trump or Obama?

With dishonesty this rampant, it is little wonder that The US cannot be trusted.

Biggest as in told the most damaging lie or lie that hurt the most Americans well that's yet to be seen.

Serial liar Trump does win for sure

Obama...hands down.

So much for the "credibility" of conservative/libertarian Trump supporters.

But Donald Trump is in a different category. The sheer frequency, spontaneity and seeming irrelevance of his lies have no precedent. Nixon, Reagan and Clinton were protecting their reputations; Trump seems to lie for the pure joy of it. A whopping 70 percent of Trump’s statements that PolitiFact checked during the campaign were false, while only 4 percent were completely true, and 11 percent mostly true. (Compare that to the politician Trump dubbed “crooked,” Hillary Clinton: Just 26 percent of her statements were deemed false.)

Those who have followed Trump’s career say his lying isn’t just a tactic, but an ingrained habit. New York tabloid writers who covered Trump as a mogul on the rise in the 1980s and ’90s found him categorically different from the other self-promoting celebrities in just how often, and pointlessly, he would lie to them. In his own autobiography, Trump used the phrase “truthful hyperbole,” a term coined by his ghostwriter referring to the flagrant truth-stretching that Trump employed, over and over, to help close sales. Trump apparently loved the wording, and went on to adopt it as his own.

Why is everything always about Americans? Are there not any Americans who care at all about the hundreds of millions of lives totally wrecked, not to mention the huge number taken, by the USA?

You are so ****ing lost its sad. The fact that you are flailing all over the place kind of proves the point. You are embarrassing yourself.

I agree with Donald Tusk, the president of the European Council.

https://twitter.com/eucopresident/status/996731038062862336

Trump is so faithless and erratic -- and so clearly enamoured of the authoritarian leaders of countries such as Russia and China at the expense of our traditional allies -- that, yes, our former allies can be grateful for that one thing: for Trump making it crystal clear that there's no point even trying to count on the U.S.

When the presidency of Trump is over, we'll see if there is still a place for us at the grown-up table. In the meantime, the rest of the countries -- the ones with sane leadership -- will figure out how to get by without us.

Making their treaties. Building their ties. Only giving us as much access to intelligence as they absolutely have to. Probably leaving the door ajar for when we come to our senses. But basically moving on with the serious matters of problem-solving without the problem child in the White House.

You aren't even saying what you don't like about Trump's decisions in this, and neither is Donald Tusk. I don't know exactly what decisions Tusk is talking about, but I'm personally glad we aren't a part of anything like the EU. The EU is an extremely authoritarian body that is unelected and is the greatest threat to Democracy in the modern times. Countries can't even make decisions for themselves, and the people of the countries have no power to elect the true decision-makers in the EU. I'm sure Donald Tusk would say the same thing about the UK, so maybe we're not the problem, he is. I also think it's a bit rich for a more closed economy that has unfair trading practices to complain about the decisions we're making in the USA, when we have some of the most fair trading practices in the world. If anything, our trading practices are most unfair to ourselves. I mean, maybe countries like Switzerland and Singapore have more open trade, but there aren't too many economies more open than ours. The EU acts in selfish ways and is not a friend to anybody, not even the countries that are a part of it. Don't throw stones when living in a glass house, Donald Tusk.

How damn sad is this. Thanks, Trump. You are ruining this once great country. God damn bull in a China shop that man is.

Maybe next time people won't blindly support a corrupt real estate developer reality TV game show host for President.

Maybe next time the DNC will not prop up a straw woman that nobody likes? There is plenty of shame to go around.

The federal government was very much a liar, speaking with forked tongue, when it was "negotiating" with the Native American tribes. It was a dishonorable group in 1850, and it is a dishonorable group today.

I'm ashamed of the federal government. Trump has certainly made it worse.

I agree with all of this. I knew that for the first time in my life (since first voting in 1980) I couldn't vote for the GOP candidate for President, but sadly, the Democrats didn't give me an alternative. I would have voted for Jim Webb. Clinton and Trump were the two worst candidates in the history of the world.

2016 will not go down in history as one of the better years for the USA.
