Pedestrian fatalities skyrocket in U.S.

Most States passed the idiotic laws that vehicles must give way to pedestrians and now we have a whole lot of people who are so stupid that they'll simply walk into an intersection without a glance for on-coming traffic. They've been told that they have the right to walk into traffic and now they are getting killed because they are too stupid to realize that taking advantage of that right doesn't mean jack to a dead person. These laws need to be changed so that vehicles are supposed to yield at marked crosswalks, but people are not allowed to enter those crosswalks until traffic has stopped or the on-coming traffic is a safe distance away.

Ever been in Manhattan? Pedestrians literally dare cars to hit them.

When I was learning to ride motorcycles I was told to assume every car out there is trying to kill me. I do and basically assume that any car is going to do something stupid that might get me killed. I adopt the same to a large degree when driving a car as well. Pedestrians should adopt the same mentality.

Riding two wheels make you a better four wheel pilot......imo.
