Interesting choice of words in using "unfettered". That is what the judge that rebuked the Mueller team, and thereby the DOJ, said they should not be.

The Congress is not trying to do anything to the Judicial Branch. The DOJ is a part of the Executive Branch. The Judicial Branch seems to be equally frustrated by the DOJ.

It almost makes you think the DOJ is acting extra legally.

Actually law enforcement has been trying to find out why several international intelligence agencies monitored Trump people talking with Russian spies in the summer of 2016. That is what started this. I really have to laugh at that judge too. Where was he when Ken Starr's 2 year multi-million $ investigation into a real estate deal called Whitewater became all about a stained dress? Talk about overstepping.....the truth is that if crimes are revealed during an investigation they are pursued no matter what the subject. Do you think we should look the other way ?

Not at all. The rules guiding the actions of a Special Prosecutor start with the REQUIREMENT that a crime be named.

So far, that REQUIREMENT has not been met. THAT is what the judge is talking about.

Funny you should bring up Ken Starr. In that investigation, a crime was named and the both the authorization of the Special Prosecutor and the Crime were public.

In every subsequent twist and turn of the investigation, Starr sought and received permission to explore the questionable actions that created in him the reasonable suspicion to proceed. Again, all of this was public. All of the twists and turns were authorized by judges.

This Witch Hunt has no crime to justify its existence and no transparency. That is why the Judge observed that the power should not be unfettered. Every twist and turn is a secretive and shady dal with no transparency. Judges have not been allowed to touch this monkey trial in the making.

Muldoon and the Gang That Won't Shoot Straight is a gang of jack booted (okay, okay) "tassel loafered" thugs abusing our legal system for purely political motives.

No crime, no transparency and no legal right to proceed. Police state. Identifying the guy you want to lynch and then trying to find a crime to hang on him is straight from the Jim Crow South.

One of the signatures of the Mueller investigation is that unlike Star and the Hillary billion $ witch hunt is that there has been few leaks and NO reporting of inside information.

If you would stop and think you would realize that the great America has been made a ****ing laughing stock, you can't even stage a ****ing election. You let or paid Russians to turn your computer security systems into an open book and let Moscow determine the presidency.

Hey, if Americans are cool with that, fine. But DON'T EVER use the excuse of you're defending "democracy" when you wage war. You are NOT a democracy but a puppet state of the Kremlin.

No crimes were found in the Whitewater investigation, Clinton was impeached for an unrelated affair with a aide. The reason for this investigation is clear, there was interference in our election by our adversary Russia and the Trump campaign had multiple contacts with Russian agents that they hid and denied. Is that clear enough? Manafort's dealings with Putin's people in Ukraine is certainly related to this investigation as are any contacts the campaign had with the Kremlin. Calling our FBI and DOJ Nazi's is only evidence of your disloyalty to our Constitution which makes you no better than a Russian stooge like Michael Flynn. At least Flynn got 100's of 1000's of $ for his disloyalty. What is your excuse?

If America is a laughing stock, it was made so by the interference into the election by our home grown spies. Our political parties do little to stop the laughing.

Any interference provided by the Kremlin was weak and ineffectual.

The reason that Trump is in the White House instead of Hillary is that Trump won the election.

Obama said, incorrectly as it turns out:

It's hysterical to me that the Dems are doing what they always do: Exactly what they say is the wrong thing to do. In this, our political parties are pretty similar. Hypocrisy runs rampant. Are politicians required to take a Hypocitic Oath?

Hillary has done many things following the election. Fulfilling Obama's prediction with full throated support of Trump's Presidency isn't one of them.

So, then, it should be very easy for you to produce the crime that is named in the authorization for the Special Prosecutor.

Unless your name is Mueller or Rosenstein, it's very likely you have not read it.

From my understanding of the investigation to date, the only crime the investigators are interested in is that Trump won the election. It AFTER that "crime" that this whole Witch hunt really got under way. Prior to that, it was just insurance against the unimaginable.

Does it strike you as at all odd that only Republicans and people associated with Trump are being attacked by Muldoon and the Gang That Won't Shoot Straight?

The rising distrust of the FBI is a symptom of the stink in all this. The average guy on the street who is in any way aware of this understands that ALL politicians are amoral, power hungry crooks.

To the great disappointment of an increasing majority of Americans, now the FBI has taken sides and wallows in the muck with the swine.
