As I type this, Trump is delivering the keynote remarks (my TV is on delayed broadcast), delivering a plethora of platitudes and saying that he's going sign an EO for a faith initiative.

Excuse me? Of all the ways Trump is not credible, as an advocate for anything having to do with faith, theism and/or morality.

Yeah, I'm kind of drowning in the irony here.

Off Topic:

OMG! I just looked up to see the video for the ceremony. Never before have I seen so many black people in close proximity to Trump! No wonder the event was short....

Religion is meaningless to my life, so whatever.

One thing that baffles me is I always thought that evangelicals put their faith above everything else, but that is simply not the case. Obama was an actual Christian that actually visited church, mostly professed Christian values, only had one wife, to whom he was faithful and actually knew and quoted from the Bible, yet evangelicals hated him. Trump is the least Christian person to ever hold the White House ever. He's been married 3 times because he keeps upgrading wives as they get old, has fathered children with 3 women, lies, boasts and throws insults every time he opens his mouth, and literally paid a hooker for sex, yet they love him.

It's obvious American evangelicals' real priorities, in this order are:
1) Race
2) Party
3) Religion

This guy?

After months of reflection, Donald Trump says he still doesn't regret his decision not to ask God for forgiveness for his sins.
In an interview on Sunday with CNN, the Republican presidential frontrunner said that he does not regret never asking God for forgiveness, partially because he says he doesn't have much to apologize for.

"I have great relationship with God. I have great relationship with the Evangelicals," Trump said in the interview before pivoting to his poll numbers among Evangelical voters.

"I like to be good. I don't like to have to ask for forgiveness. And I am good. I don't do a lot of things that are bad. I try to do nothing that is bad."

Wait until Pence becomes President. We will have public prayer towers and specific times each day that everyone must stop and pray. Of course women will be required to pray in separate places than men.

Back to Trump. It is fitting that Trump gives the keynote remarks on the National Day of Prayer. Trump has actually caused more people to pray more often than any president in history. I was talking to a guy yesterday at the hardware store. The conversation meandered into politics. The guy, a small business owner, at one point said, "Oh, God, please kick that lying, slimy mother****er out of office before his term is up."

Amen
