From the moment Trump entered the political fray, he's been sweating like a whore in church and screaming like a stuck pig about the scrutiny into and discovery of one after another of his life's shady dealings and incessant paltering. Well, I'm sorry, but he should have known long before he became a politician that he and his whole life would be placed under a microscope. That it is is fitting; he wanted to be and became the POTUS. America's citizens deserve a full accounting of the person who not only has the authority to unilaterally make material policy decisions that will affect us and their descendents' daily lives, but who also represents us and our nation to the world.
Trump feels very differently about the nature of disclosure to which the American people are entitled. He's rejected precedent by not releasing his tax returns, so we have no idea of what is the actual nature of his business entanglements. He's had his "fixer" obtain "hush" contracts. Knowing that media outlets discuss what a POTUS discusses, he rarely discusses the actual policy changes his seconds at the various departments, bureaus and agencies, thus reducing scrutiny on the actual policies he's implemented. All that while having also claimed to be a champion for transparency.
Quite simply, I think "the lady" doth protesteth too much. Trump's been considering a run for the presidency since his 1980s interview on Oprah. At the very least he could have cleaned up his act so that at the very least so that when the scrutiny came, it wouldn't find anything. But he didn't do that, so he must now suffer the consequences. I think he should be a man about it, let the scandalous stuff play out and stop all the bitching and moaning about it, and start talking about the various initiatives he's implementing.
He'll he could start by articulating clear and coherent policies that his cabinet and ambassadors can set about bringing to fruition. That'd be useful for everyone for at the very least his "generals" wouldn't say one thing only to have Trump reverse it a day or less later. Of course, to articulate a policy, one must think about a matter and formulate one, which, of course, Trump hasn't time to do because he's too busy tweeting about "palace intrigue" and his status as a supposed victim. The only thing of which he's a victim is his own BS.
