Cosby's trial is the fist one in the wake of "me too." Will "me too" have an impact on the outcome?

I don't know the answer to the title question, but I'll find out in a few minutes what the verdict is.

Update:
He was convicted of whatever the charges were.

I guess "me too" had some impact, though, AFAIK, the evidence presented the second time round was quite different.

GUILTY on three counts.

Wow. I’m not sure I was expecting that. Good news.

I would hope not, because juries should not be returning verdicts based on the influence of social trends.

(It doesn't mean they never do. But they most certainly shouldn't.)

Juries shouldn't. Guilty is guilty, nonnegotiable.
Sentencing might reflect public standards, though.

That juries "should not" is a normative assertion; however, when 12 jurors arrive at a verdict, unless there clearly was jury "foul play," jurists are not remotely keen to vacate or overturn their decision on account of a supposition that the jurors considered something other than (1) facts, (2) deductively sound inferences drawn from them and/or (3) inductively cogent inferences drawn from the facts.

Ohferchristsake.
I'll you something, bud, I don't have a clue what you're talking about and I don't believe for a minute you have either. If you want, when I have a bit more time we can dissect this post sentence by sentence and hope the post-mortem will shine a light on what brought it on. In the meantime muse on this- If you can't explain yourself in simple terms you don't know what the hell you're talking about.

A dictionary and a basic understanding of logic is all one should need to comprehend my remark.

Use the tools above and then reread my remarks:
