Not just socialists. Hitler was a dictator and mass murderer; a fanatic, and I believe he was also insane. But he was a totalitarian. The farther left one goes, the more govt increases in power and with that, abuse. Our Founders knew it when they wrote the Constitution. The Left also tends to favor anarchy as a means to change regime circumventing conventions and law. Since the right favors Liberty, the farthest to the right would be a capitalist society with bare bones govt and societal needs being met by community help, like local people and even your neighbors, churches (of any religion), and private charities instead of govt or with govt providing for the profoundly needy and indigent. There's nothing about the right that aligns with Nazism or fascism.
