Terrorist Attack in Toronto -- Euro Style Van Attack

Witness Ali Shaker, who was driving southbound at the time, says the van was travelling at high speed on the sidewalk. The van was also southbound.

“He started going down on the sidewalk and crumbling down people one by one,” Shaker told CTV News Channel on Monday afternoon.

No word on a motive yet though it is clear this was intentional, he was trying to terrorize people, whatever the motive was. Thankfully, the cops managed to take him alive.

TBH it could have been a lot worse. Some of those downtown sidewalks are absolutely packed with people.



9 people dead, also this was not downtown (Finch is well north of DT) though it is in a densely populated area

To those Canadians on the board, I give my deepest sympathy and condolences to the families and friends of the victims of this attack. And for those injured I wish a speedy and full recovery. And as for the perpetrator, unless the man was a lunatic incapable of distinguishing right from wrong...the less I say about what I want done to him the better.
