Everything seemed to be going along so well. Rich aristocrats had successfully infiltrated the US political establishment and were well into the process of selling out the middle class to like-minded thinkers in distant places. The American people appeared to have forgotten about the golden specialness weaved into the founding principles of the United States. The gold of American exceptionalism was being traded for the glitter of globalization.

The same intellectual and political elite that fostered the hive mentality of the War on Poverty and the Great Society seemed to have prevailed by infesting the political power structure with a new and improved version of authoritarian despotism. The people were told they didn’t need pensions, decent health insurance or job security because those things were in conflict with their counterparts across oceans that had long ago been stripped of them.

This “bonus” state of affairs for individuals in America would put the agenda of government policy and corporate greed at a disadvantage in the global marketplace. Workers in America didn’t deserve these perks they were told, because others far away didn’t get them. Yes, things were going well as the middle class was disappearing.

Then along came Donald Trump, an American billionaire, who apparently didn’t get the memo. Devoid of the usual pompous political rhetoric, he spoke in blue-collar English and told Americans they were being scammed. He was laughed at by the intellectual blue bloods right up until he unlocked the front door to the White House. Now he is public enemy number one because in their view he ruined everything.

Americans are viewing something very sinister as the Deep State mobilizes to save itself. The intellect of the population is being tested as security organizations are perverted to remove him. The FBI and the Department of Justice have been ransacked by poisoned leadership and hijacked to protect the government from the people.

The world is watching as an egregious kangaroo court is in session under the heading of the Mueller Investigation. Nothing quite like this has been seen since the Salem Witch Trials. It’s desperation on steroids because the whole ball of wax is at stake.

Trump, with all his faults, had the presence of mind to appeal to the common sense of the people. His detractors appear to be made up of people who hate him more than they love America. They’re suing the Russians.

Stay tuned.

What are you even talking about? Trump promised "healthcare for everyone and it would be so easy". The first thing Trump tried to do was get rid of the ACA and replace it with a program that would cover fewer people. He signed a tax plan that will add almost $2 trillion to the national debt in order for the rich to get richer. Trump's cabinet is composed of billionaires that are enriching themselves and their buddies at the expense of he American people.

Sure, Trump speaks in plain language but all snake-oil salesmen do. C'mon man, either you're not very smart or you think we're all idiots.

Do you think it is fair to confuse the writer of the OP with actual facts about the conduct of Trump?

Unfortunately it's the latter.

Unfortunately, FAIR does not come into play with Trump or most of his diehard supporters. The comments concerning his "Inaccuracies" and broken promises are clearly available on video and tweet for anyone to see however.

Your post is only hafl right. Trump is threatening the entrenched powers of Deep State, but he is absolutely screwing Blue Collar America. Social programs are for people.

Might I suggest you evaluate the quality and ability of the "Thinking" you are using, as it seems corrupted by confirmation bias.

But Trump is doing it.

Interesting world you live in. Here in this parallel universe, things are quite different. Unfortunately, the people here have fallen for a fraud and conman who is screwing up the government, alienating friends, getting friendly with foes, and likely to do unpredictable things. Do you know our POTUS actually claimed he would give us a better health care system, make our southern neighbor pay for a wall between the two countries, and lock up his political opponent? No, really! I know it's unbelievable that people here actually fell for such a thing, but they did.

Amazing to think that there are people that actually believe the Trump presidency is about anything but Donald himself. It has always been about Donald and while his life took a left turn on him when he actually won this thing, that does mean the Donald suddenly changed. Its about him and he is going to get every last Dollar and every other brand of currency out of it he can. Everybody else is along for the ride and he will toss you and anybody else off the good ship Trump as soon as he is done with you. He won't care how rough the seas or how rocky the coast when he tosses you overboard either.

Part of the motive behind framing Trump for the Russia thing was to hamstring his administration to make serious change more difficult. In that are the democrats were successful.

BTW, since the media is so focused on getting Trump gone, they have stopped reporting on actual issues. There have been a lot of incremental changes in healthcare, including the nod for states like California to implement their own single payer systems under the model of "group insurance". They were unable to do this under the wing of Obamacare.

As predicted the more the government got involved in health care the more oxygen it would suck out on the national debate about other things.

To everyone who wants socialism or quasi socialism, explain to me that you can't have it if you have open borders.

You are going to have to accept one to get the other. Illegal immigration is what is stopping California's experiement at single payer.

Illegal immigration should be stopped and we should have a better process for visa overstays. But there are two issues with Trump in that regard:
1) Trump and Miller are waging an all out war on all immigration including legal immigration and that is just flat stupid and not in the best interests of the country
2) His Wall is a 17th Century answer to a 21 Century problem. We need to tighten border security, not build a new Wall across the Southern Border

Unfortunately it's the latter.

LOL - yeah. I should know that trying to shed reality on someone delusional is a futile endeavor. Please don't suffocate inside your right-wing bubble.

Interesting statement. Was that supposed to have been a response to my post in some way?

If anyone has trampled on the Constitution, that would be our mafia "Don" Trump.

The courts have slapped his unconstitutional EO's down many times.

Nothing about Trump's history prior to the primaries indicate that he is anything more than a con artist. I understand the desire to have a hero, but the amount of desperate hope given to this fraud is shameful. Let him go.

Who gave anyone the right to give us “a brand new country” through the method of illegal immigration?

Maybe not. I had the impression you were arguing at one point for California’s efforts on single payer. Must have been someone else.
