1. The tRump that told Lester Holt that he fired Comey in part because of his handling of the Russia investigation?
2. Or the tRump that now says that the "Russia thing" had nothing to do with his firing of Comey?

I believe Mueller will go with the former explanation.

This day was bound to come. The day when Donald had floated so many misstatements and outright lies out there that he has to roll back over them again. I don't know why anybody would even struggle with this.

Just insert Donald in the old lawyer joke: You know how you know Donald is lying? His lips are moving.

Donald has taken lying to a whole new level of public consciousness. If you were serving donald in a restaurant, you would literally not be able to bring him his meal confident that you would not be assaulted on some level for not having understood, even if the menu in your restaurant only offered meals by number. There is every chance that you would bring Donald a #5 only to have him rail that he ordered a #6.

I have relatives that have literally watched this happen with all sorts of contracts for labor, materials ordered and delivered, everything under the sun. There is simply nothing small enough or petty enough or insignificant enough that does not trigger that basic instinct that exists within this man to lie.

America loves a lie, and America loves Trump

At least you spell correctly. ;)

I was just responding to the juvenile way Vet writes the name he cannot seem to get right.

I felt the same way when idiots used "Obummer" and other terms for President Obama.

Alright. I just get tired of the Hillary/Bill/Obama deflections.

Well, seeing as how Trump said no such thing to Holt and seeing as how Trump's reason for firing Comey was clearly laid out in his statements and in Rosenstein's recommendation, your choice is clear: Number 2.

I really try to not use the Hillary defense unless it is definitely germane to the discussion.

But no one is perfect :)

It's a convenient crutch. Either one can defend Trump on his own merits, or not.

As much as the crutch is utilized, Trump is indefensible, even to his own supporters.

I find it hard to defend almost all of what Trump tweets, and little of what he actually does.

He is a broken clock in my eyes.
