The best part of this is that if the Dems are successful in getting rid of Trump, they get Pence. Pence makes Trump look like Abbey Hoffman.

It's like watching Inspector Jacques Clouseau exercising his powers of deduction.
 
If anything this entire concentration on Assad's use of chem warfare on his people is more proof that the two worst presidents in modern history are Trump worst and Obama just a hair above worst with Bush Jr just a hair above Obama.

At least Obama had the cover of maintaining humanitarian aid to Syria and would take Syrian refugees, neither of which trump has done. This effort by trump is totally motivated by the politics of false outrage. His heart strings are pulled by those babies that can't breath. MY REAR END. We are attacking the state of Syria over what...the method Assad uses to kill his people. So 500,000 deaths by bullet and bomb and God only knows what don't motivate us but a few deaths by chem within Syria's own borders and suddenly we get tough. Give me a break.

So Assad could walk out of his office and line up 100 people and put one in the back of their heads one after the other and that motivates us to nothing but a chem attack and we are suddenly putting US lives at risk and steaming a fleet across the Atlantic...utter and complete drivel as was Obama's utter and complete drivel on this topic. The only dif...Obama had the sense to go to congress for authorization where he was shot down and Obama maintained humanitarian aid and would consider taking refugees from Syria.

If Trump was illegitimately placed in office because of ILLEGAL Russian interference and assistance, Pence was placed in office by that same process. So if Trump goes, so must Pence. The Constitution then passes the office to the Speaker of the House.
 
Angus King provides a good example this morning of how utterly screwed up we are as a country and how completely mystified we are about how to deal with the three headed monster of Bush Jr followed by Obama followed by trump is for us. The worst three presidents in modern history and they are just killing us.

King tries to straddle the line because he neither wants to criticize Obama and does not want to be caught on the wrong side of this laughable outrage over Assad's use of chem weapons within the borders of his own country.

So King "justifies" the strike because of its precision v chem capabilities, something King does not know for one thing. Worse, we have been claiming that this is Assad attacking his people with chem weapons. So how in God's name King can claim that this is not an attack on Syria and Assad is beyond rationality, simply the worst sort of excuse making.

This is the box Bush Jr followed by Obama followed by Trump has put us in. We better start to find people who know what the job of president is actually and we better find better politicians generally and we better ourselves learn more about our own democracy and our responsibility to it because this has become a comedy of the absurd at this point.

The Constitution passes the office to the Vice President if the President is unable to serve. The Election was legal and the outcome is legal.

Another absolutely hilarious thing about your crowd is that you are STILL clinging to that whole colluuuuuuuuusion thing. Do you guys EVER take a serious look at the REAL world?

If Trump has to leave office because of the Russian assistance - Pence was elected by that same effort and should leave office also.

These "wars" appear to go on without end because there is no underlying effort out of the state department to actually resolve issues of state. ISIS is not a state actor. So you cannot resolve issues like ISIS using diplomacy. You can use a diplomatic effort to bring together a coalition to deal with an ISIS but ultimately your direct dealings with an ISIS will not be diplomatic in nature. However we no longer actively work effectively to get state actors to recognize their mutual self interests in dealing with other state actors. In other words we have forgotten how to get other state actors who are our allies to recognize their strategic mutual self interests and like it or not, the world, especially the western world has grown used to us taking that role.

We have not had an effective state department in years, certainly a decade. Did we have an effective state department under Obama? No we did not. Neither of Obama's secretaries of state were worth a darn IMO. Trump literally does not have one. He had Tillerson who stood by and watched the State department hollowed out, even managed the process and I am at this point not convinced that Pompeo will be an effective secretary of state. That remains to be seen. But Trump's attitude toward State does not leave me with much hope and I do not see Pompeo is strong enough as an advocate for State to offset Trump's obvious misunderstanding of the asset itself and lack of respect for the asset. Trump does not understand it and by now we should know that donald does not like what he does not understand.

We have not had decent Secretaries of State since Madeline Albright and James Baker before her. I would not give you two cents for any Secretary of State we have had since Albright with maybe a nod to Rice but not more than a nod. George Schultz was a good Secretary of State for Reagan in my opinion and Haig was a mess for the first two years of the Reagan WH.

Cy Vance was the last Secretary of State working for a President (Carter) that was just clueless about the asset making it almost impossible to be an effective Secretary of State or have an effective State Dept. But the lack of a vibrant, active, spirited effort out of State, one that the President understands and appreciates is a giant problem for this country and for the world generally. Trumplicans can tout their trump till hell freezes over for all I care, to have a hollowed out, ineffective State dept and to actually be a catalyst for an ineffective State Dept is just absurd. This used to be a strength by and large of Republican presidencies and since there is no longer a recognizable Republican party that is no longer the case.

Our consulates and embassies sort of do their jobs as they are generally staffed with career diplomats. But the political appointees that are the voice and the direction of a state department have sucked for years.

I will repeat again that these last three presidencies have been horrifically bad each worse than the one that proceeded it and all three horrid, meaning Trump/Obama/Bush Jr. They are without any question in my mind the worse in the modern era and it should come to our attention that they are each worse than the last, all three. As I have stated before we would next have to elect actual cartoon characters like goofy or donald duck to do worse than the current occupant of the WH.

We've been in constant war since before G.W. but I do think the Infinity War really escalated with him. Obama pushed it, Trump will push it, whomever comes after Trump will push it. This isn't an accident, the Infinity War is by design. Nothing pays government like War. All their buddies are getting contracts and making bank, the government uses it as excuse to keep expanding power and higher levels of spending. Infinity War is good for the Corporate State. No Republocrat is going to end it, it's good for sustaining their power and paying their friends.

You seem to be missing the fact of the matter.

The only collusion with the Russians that has been proven is the collusion between the Russians, the Democrat Party Machine and the Main Stream media outlets.

This is high comedy and the various butts of the various jokes are just now starting to understand the situation.

Headlines will soon be announcing the McCabe and Comey have been indicted. Strzok and Page will follow. The cabal that protected the assumed President to be, Hillary, is being dismantled.

The Democrat Party and their candidates have kept this alive long enough to become its victim.

What those emails established was the hope of Trump Jr. to gather dirt on Hillary.

What the real world meeting content established is the lack of any connection whatever between what Trump Jr. hoped for and what the Russian delivered.

What your post establishes is your lack of understanding between real world events and your fantasies.

Why would it have to be made during that meeting? And the expectation of the Trump team in accepting the meeting (according to the emails) was most certainly that it would facilitate the Russian assistance would constitute an illegal donation and a violation of federal law.

Even a noted conservative from FOX - Charles Krauthammer - clearly identifies this as collusion with the Russians on behalf of the Trump top campaign people.

I suspect that even if somebody could produce an actual film of Donald Trump himself publicly inviting the Russians to help his campaign and promising them a reward, you and other Trumpkins would find a way to pretend it really is not serious and dismiss it.

Not one thing in your post refuted anything I said.... in fact, it did not even directly speak to anything I said as I gave you what happened in the real world with real Trump campaign people conspiring to violate federal law with real Russians. You charged that something happened and I asked that you prove it happened.

You did not.

By not proving what you assert and that I challenge, you prove that you have no proof. Now, this may not prove it did not happen. It only proves that you accept the word of liars as fact. This says more about you than it says about the "facts" you accept.

This is not graduate level reasoning. If you are convinced that some real world event happened, then you should be able to prove it with real world proof.

You have yet to prove anything.

Like so many presidents before him, there is no end game in the middle east. Someone over there acts, we react, that has been our policy there for at least a half century and more. Trump's end game in Syria, get out. Let the Ruskies and Assad finish off ISIS. Let Assad and the Russians end the war in Syria which means Assad remains. It also means once peace is restored all these refugees can return.

I have no problem with that.
