Why do some support Trump over the DOJ and the FBI?

If you look at his campaign promises, quite a number fulfilled, as an embodiment of his agenda, isn't that what the electorate voted for?

Yeah, sure, he's bombastic, he says the right things (most often) in the wrong way (most often). But there's a brutal honesty about that that's clearly been missing from politics with the establishment politicians and their simply mouthing words to get elected.

A surprise that Trump won, to be sure.

What in the name of all that's good and holy is brutally honest about calling the FBI a "den of thieves and lowlifes"? You think that's an honest assessment of the men and women who have kept this country safe from harm?

Obama said the Cambridge police acted stupidly, and people screamed their heads off. Obama said people cling to their guns and religion, and the right melted down like the Wicked Witch in water - myself included. I'm different though. I can't be hypocritical and applaud Trump for the vile crap he says after I denounced Obama for what he said, and pretend I'm now looking for refreshing honesty.

This country has gone stark raving mad with people excusing the disgusting actions of that man.

lol, I won't even bother Tres. He's way too far gone at this point. You can like Trump all you want, but to call him brutally honest is just well...wrong. And if "telling it like it is" is insulting anyone who DARES to disagree with you or doesn't worship at your feet....well yeah that describes Trump perfectly.

Honesty, honesty, you have got to be kidding me. What did the one story say, he had over 2 thousand lies in his first year in office. Trump had an agenda. build that wall and the rest was to go after Clinton. I remember he and his fans yelling "lock her up" Some of those who started the chant are either now in jail or going there soon. A majority of Trump's time was spent either attacking Hillary or Obama and that is what got him elected. And even now he is back pedaling on many promises including the TPP.

If you actually look at many of the things Trump ran on, they were more like Democrat platform than anything. He promised to avoid cutting Medicaid, and also promised to deliver affordable health insurance to all Americans at the governments expense, if necessary. He promised to defend Social Security benefits. And he also said that wealthy people like himself would pay higher taxes under his plan. None of that is a typical Republican platform at all. On stuff like the Wall, the muslim ban, etc, he pretended to be far right, but many other things he ran on were NOT Republican at all. He lied of course, as he's doing the complete opposite of what he promised in many ways.

This is bigger than Trump. When the FBI demonstrates political bias to the extent that they are willing to try to sabotage an elected President, then we are all in danger. The raid on Trump's lawyer should also alarm people as Alan Dershowitz, no conservative, has stated. It's Trump today. It could be you tomorrow. People blindly cheering on a slow motion political coup because it is someone they hate who is the target, are shortsighted at best and dangerous at worst. The bottom line is that the establishment hates anyone willing to take it on, regardless of party and that is why they hate Trump.

They're used to business as usual which is lots of talking, lots of palm greasing and very little rocking of the boat. It's why many in the GOP have also been reluctant to get on board with Trump. They prefer the status quo, no matter how bad, to actually trying to solve problems. That's why Trump is hated. Russia is simply the pretext that was cobbled together to try to accomplish their goals. They'd be fine with Pence, the ultimate establishment type who won't cause problems.
