Trump touts Hannity’s show on ‘Deep State crime families’ led by Mueller, Comey and Clintons

Sean Hannity and Donald Trump should just get married at this point. All they do is suck each other's dicks.

Do we have ANY moderators on this forum? I have to quickly hide a screen on a politics forum when my grand-kids walk into the room?

You trust the FBI? Showboat Comey has become a hero to the left for some odd reason. Did you forget how he impacted the election?

I trust the FBI more than I do Trump, that's for sure. The FBI doesn't tweet lies on a daily basis nor do the FBI base their actions on the information from Fox News commentary.

The FBI is a corrupt organization, and you know it Tres.

JFK was on the verge of re-organizing the FBI and firing J Edgar Hoover but he got assassinated and every president after him was too afraid to touch the FBI.

Trump is fighting the FBI and we are seeing the FBI for what they are: A secret police state.

Trump has cheated people all his life and you trust him to fix anything? No wonder this nation is in such turmoil, people who believe Hannity and Trump over our FBI are either crazy or to racist to see the truth.

On Wednesday night, like most other weeknights, it was to be expected that President Trump would be tuning into his favorite prime-time pundit. But as if his followers needed a reminder, the president tweeted about it.

“Big show tonight on @seanhannity!” Trump tweeted, promoting Sean Hannity’s 9 p.m. segment on Fox News. By early Thursday morning, Hannity was the No. 1 topic trending on Twitter, and scores of viewers watched as Hannity fired out his usual attacks on his favorite subjects: Hillary Clinton, special counsel Robert S. Mueller III and former FBI director James B. Comey.

And in a conspiratorial, long-winded monologue, Hannity charted connections he sees between all three of them. The pundit outlined what he described as “obvious Deep State crime families trying to take down the president,” consisting of the Clinton “family,” the Comey “family” and the Mueller “family.”

Are you ****ing kidding me? On so many fronts....are you ****ing kidding me?

He's pimping Hannity's freak show (first ignorant thing). Hannity, that vile man, is talking about Mueller's "crime family"? A man who dedicated his life to the service of this country? Up to and including serving in Vietnam, which Trump didn't, and that slob Newt Gingrich didn't. Speaking of Gingrich, he was on last night comparing the raid on Cohen's office with the Gestapo. The ****ing Gestapo????

This country is in shambles, and it's because of garbage like this. I don't care about Hannity's entertainment show. It's better than watching the Kardashians. But for the ****ing President of the United States of America to encourage people to watch this **** is inexplicable, offensive, and beyond the pale.

Ahh the Deep State Conspiracy Theory, man the rightwing-partisans really love to tout that one.

Well, this is a democracy. People get what they want and deserve. This is the best Americans can do.

"Now, there's one thing you might have noticed I don't complain about: politicians. Everybody complains about politicians. Everybody says they suck. Well, where do people think these politicians come from? They don't fall out of the sky. They don't pass through a membrane from another reality. They come from American parents and American families, American homes, American schools, American churches, American businesses and American universities, and they are elected by American citizens. This is the best we can do folks. This is what we have to offer. It's what our system produces: Garbage in, garbage out. If you have selfish, ignorant citizens, you're going to get selfish, ignorant leaders. Term limits ain't going to do any good; you're just going to end up with a brand new bunch of selfish, ignorant Americans.

So, maybe, maybe, maybe, it's not the politicians who suck. Maybe something else sucks around here... like, the public. Yeah, the public sucks. There's a nice campaign slogan for somebody: 'The Public Sucks. F*ck Hope.'"

I agree with the assessment of Hannity and his show, but hey, no one forces anyone to watch him. It is just like any other circle jerk session where people sit around and agree with one another.
As for the FBI, we don't know what is going on. One thing I would guess on is that they, and any powerful organization like it, lack unbiased oversight, aside from Trump, aside from the current admin, aside from what is going on right now.
Look at the IRS. Look at Congress...

I agree. Nobody is forced to watch Hannity (thank goodness. But bashing on Hannity, while entertaining, isn't really the point of me starting this thread. The point was the President of the United States was 1, clearly informed by Hannity and/or his handlers that Hannity was going to spend an hour raging about the Mueller "Crime Family", and 2, Trump is colossally ignorant to send that Tweet last night telling people to watch the show. Not only ignorant, it was inappropriate, and horrifically frightening.

Hannity is a Trump tool and stooge. But he doesn't have access to the nuclear codes. Yet, anyway. Trump on the other hand does.

Trump is acting like a madman.

Yes, we have many of them. And we're supposed to let them do their jobs, and not try to do it for them.

Pretty sad having such a low opinion of us. May be it is social media that gives us that impression and tends to make us cynical and sarcastic.
But then, if you (general) expect nothing you get nothing. You could look for the best in people instead. When people refuse to look at the positive, the actual confidence we saw when Trump took office, the positive job market, the positive labor market, one could really think that all hope is lost.
Carlin was a hopeless and hateful creep and no role model for anyone I care to know.

I think that is what makes us great. Every Pres has his supporters, those who favor him or, hopefully some day her. Trump is no different than any other, it is just that the channel and the players changed. Echo chambers exist on both sides.

I'd say we are at a level 3 here.

I watch the 24/7's as much as I can bear it. One of them alternates in the work shop all day long. But I don't take my news from any of them. However I have to say in watching the three major 24/7's and having watched all three since their inceptions, Fox News is now farther down the rathole than the other two and by a wide margin. Its news is pretty decent though sometimes utterly irrelevant. But its journalistic standard is pitiful and to allow itself to beat the propaganda drum in hour long bites as so much of its on-air talent does is reprehensible.

Does anybody really think we are improving anything by dragging through the mud institutions of democracy? I don't care what your gripe is with the FBI or DOJ, or EPA or Dept of education, the combined weight of a president literally trying to dissolve agencies of government and a propaganda machine aiding that effort smacks of tinhorn dictatorship, not democracy. Anybody that thinks authoritarianism is preferable regardless of who the authoritarian is has his head stuck firmly up his butt end. Anybody that thinks you can dial chaos is equally mis-informed. You can't dial chaos. If you are lucky if you survive chaos. If you do survive chaos I very seriously doubt you will look at the anticipated gains from having endured chaos and think they were worthwhile.
