It isn't Amazon, it is all about WAPO Stupid.

....and those beauties are proudly made in China.

Yep. Amazon is putting brick and mortar out of business. You know how bad they are when Amazon hurts Walmart.

I am convinced that Bezos looked at how Walmart was able to grow into a giant so big that they can barely be challenged by using Super Predator Tactics.....and he decided that he could ride that to being the only show that matters in hundreds of sectors.

But see America does not work if there is not fair competition, as in there actually needs to be competition.

The lack of competition today is proof that America is breaking down.

Giving away the store actually increases tax collections and provides good paying jobs, which helps in many different areas, including tax collections. And, these places still pay millions of dollars in taxes, such as FICA, just to name one.

One the other side consider how much it takes to fund the building of and the yearly operation of one school seat needed because Amazon came to town with HQ2.

That's the free market. Now you want government to intervene and manage the economy? I guess you're a socialist now.

That's exactly what Obama and everyone on the left do when they attack the NRA. But, that's alright with you guys.

The NRA is not a private business. It's a political group. These false equivalencies are getting more and more desperate.

I remember when people worried that AOL was becoming too big.

I guess giving Amazon a huge tax break will just make Amazon and other mega corporations bigger. Maybe Trump should have only give tax breaks to small businesses.

Trump is simply jealous and pissed. Not rocket surgery here chief..:)

He's not jealous. He is pissed that the WP is a partisan rag that does nothing but attack him, so he is attacking the WP owner. Bezos is actually the snowflake. He wants to be able to attack Trump and expects not to be attacked back. That's the whole shtick of the left. They want the ability to shoot nonstop at Trump but they don't want Trump to have the ability to shoot back.

But wouldn't Amazon coming to town increase the building of homes and therefore the collection of more property taxes?

Well, there's really no such thing as a free market. But, it is you guys on the left who are for letting the good paying manufacturing jobs leave the country without even lifting a finger and then trying to force McDonalds to pay $15 per hour.

The NRA IS a business. It takes in money through memberships and has business expenses.

And the money that comes in as lump sum with building permits to fund schools/roads/park/bigger government......if there is not yet another tax giveaway. And supply and demand mechanisms drive up the values of existing property so taxes go up year by year. But the costs are huge, maybe (I have not figured it, this is a guess) near $100k a chair to build and another $15K a year to operate a chair in a school. Sure some of that is spread out over a few decades (with interest) but on the other had they are signing up for decades of obligations to pay. The more money that is given away at the front end to the company that gets the deal the dicier this whole operation of growing the city gets, with huge negative consequences for failure.

It's an association of gun owners with a political purpose of protecting gun rights. It makes perfect sense for a politician to attack the NRA if they disagree with its political agenda. It's wrong for a politician to try to damage the finances of the owner of a newspaper that criticizs him.

You guys talk about protecting constitutional freedoms but then you support crap like this. Even many in conservative radio are criticizing Trump over his Amazon attack. It's just indefensible. It's pure naked abuse of power.
