Mexican officials have aided a "Holy Week" caravan of over 1,000 migrants headed to the U.S. border to demand Easter asylum, according to reports.

Mostly Hondurans, they posted celebration videos on Facebook and chanted "We are migrants. We are not criminals. We are workers."

Mexico is facilitating this movement. It is part of the open orders crowd seeking to exploit out asylum system. “Pueble Sin Fronteras” is an organization that seeks to move all of south America’s asylum seekers to America.

So far the numbers are modest ~ 1300 or so, but follow on’s are expected and will not bother with app.y9ng for asylum.

We should hide eggs. They need food while crossing and if the border patrol finds an egg first, bonus for them. Some eggs we could put water. Maybe some golden eggs with green cards.

All we need is the entire world to head here for asylum, and there appears to be no political concern about stopping it.

No different than Libya long facilitating the invasion of Europe, expect that Mexico gets a huge part of their GDP from us, so maybe they should consider doing a better job of being our friends.
 
Last summer I visited a halfway house in Mexico that sheltered Hondurans. The story was that young Hondurans are told to join the drug gangs or die. Many choose to head north, some to Monterrey, Mexico, for jobs in that industrial city, some to the US. The problem has roots in terrible land distribution in poor agricultural societies in Central America, corruption in those governments, the brutal and idiotic policies of the death squad-supporting of Reagan and republicans in the 1980s, and the export orientation economic policies, often enforced by the US, of sugar, coffee, cotton, etc. Mexico could do a better job of dealing with refugees, but our country has helped screw thing up for decades.
 
This is not what it appears to be on the surface and is yet another issue conflated by Fox News and wither used or completely misunderstood by President Carrot Top. It is getting to the point where it becomes hard to determine if trump is more unscrupulous than he is stupid. At this point it hardly matters.

At any rate it is easy enough to learn what this really is and I would encourage people to do so.

It is the curse of being a former Spanish colony and the malfeasance that makes it possible. The only former colonies worth a **** are former English Colonies. There is something crooked in the Spanish soul.

Trump supporters on DP have consistently shown that they are simply to lazy or incapable of learning much of anything.

why don't you explain it to us oh wise one. As far as I can determine a caravan of 1,500 south americans are headed toward the southern border. If you need further proof I can provide a link to their paypal account where they are accepting donations for bleeding heart ***** liberals.

What information do you have that the rest of us don't?

Is it Mexico facilitating the movement or is it the private organization that you list that is doing it?

Normally Mexico does not help foreigners do anything, if they are caught.

I'd support sanctions again Mexico until they start enforcing their own laws against illegals coming to the US. They certainly have no problem enforcing their own immigration laws (which is far more strict than the US's) against those that try to stay in Mexico illegally.

The migrants are traveling across Mexico to the US where they are going to demand the right to asylum. Why do they think they have a right to asylum?

You should get on a horse and ride around the country to make sure everyone knows the Hondurans are coming.

They are not going to make it to my community.

This caravan has been going on off and on for about 7 years or so. You can be scared they are coming to invade your community but the majority of us know the border patrol and national guard are well equipped to handle these things.
