CNN mocked for glorifying JFKs ‘legendary’ infidelity...

I did read it. I'm not sure what's the problem if they're reporting it accurately?

I really thought you were capable of understanding the written word...

Well too bad then. Better luck to you on the next thread.

Kennedy was a couple generations ago. Most Americans weren't alive when he was assassinated. There was no internet, no cable TV, the news was Walter Cronkite for an hour at dinner time. You're comparing different historical periods.

No, I'm comparing how CNN today views the sexual encounters that one president had, with how they view the sexual encounters another president had.

In their view, Kennedy's affairs while he was the sitting president were exciting and legendary, while Trump's affairs BEFORE he was ever in the oval office make him a predator and evil. Forget about the fact that they couldn't care less about another former president who isn't dead, who not only had many affairs during his political career, but was/is a certified sexual predator who's victims have been readily available for interview for more than 20 years.

I wonder what makes those 3 men different? I wonder if their specific politics could have anything to do with it?

What do you think?

I'm very capable of reading. You seem incapable of writing.

CNN's report is accurate. It's called "real news". No different than if they wrote, "Trump's legendary womanizing", or "Trump's legendary lying".

So again, what's the problem here? You can't seem to explain it. I suspect it's because there is no problem here.

Well let's take a look, because again you seem to not have a clue what my post was about.

From post #1:

The story speaks for itself and leaves little to say. It highlights something that no honest observer can deny... That CNN has an obvious double standard when it comes to how they report on the sexual affairs and marital infidelity when it comes to political figures.

I believe that my words were written correctly, yet you still have no idea what my post was about? Try reading the headline of the story that I quoted, maybe that will help.

Who questioned the accuracy of the CNN story? I know I certainly didn't.... Do you see anything in post #1 where I questioned it?

You really are having difficulty understanding the written word, aren't you?

If at this point you still have no idea, all I can do is recommend you sign up for some remedial reading courses.

While promoting “The Kennedys,” CNN hailed the 35th president's “legendary love life,” before asking, “Did one of his affairs connect him with the mob?” The tweet featured video detailing JFK’s relationship with actress Judy Campbell, who was allegedly intimate with the head of the Chicago mafia while also having an affair with the president.

How is that glorifying anything? Holy cow extent people will go to project and deflect is absurd

CNN mocked for glorifying JFKs ‘legendary’ infidelity after harping on sex allegations against Trump
By Brian Flood | Fox News

CNN was slammed for hypocrisy over the weekend when the network glorified President John F. Kennedy’s many infidelities after spending significant coverage painting President Trump as a monster for an alleged affair that occurred prior to his political career.

I don't want to put words into anyone's mouth so I'll leave it to everyone here to form their own assessment, that way we can all see if honesty prevails, or partisan politics.

CNN didn't go "here," did they?:

As an eighteen-year-old senior, Hale eloped in Ardmore, Oklahoma with 16-year-old Kathleen "K.K." Connally, the daughter of future Texas governor John Connally.[1][2] On March 16, 1959, the couple were married in Ardmore prior to moving into an apartment in Tallahassee, Florida.[1][2][3] Hale worked for a boat company earning $75 per week.[2][3] The couple had been married only 44 days when Kathleen died after a 20-gauge shotgun discharged behind her right ear on April 28, 1959.[1][2] Hale spent that night in jail;[1] police reported that he was held in "protective custody" pending the ruling of a coroner's jury.[3]

On April 29, Hale testified that Kathleen had left their apartment after an argument on the evening of April 27 and did not return until noon the following day.[3] According to Hale, he spent the night looking for her and returned to find her sitting on a couch holding the gun.[2][3] He said that his wife was about to commit suicide and that the gun discharged when he lunged at it.[2][3]Both fathers testified at the inquest; John Connally stated that his daughter was pregnant and had been despondent over the move to Florida.[3] After deliberating for 45 minutes, Hale was cleared of responsibility for Kathleen's death when the jury ruled it to be an accident.[1][2][3] ....

I actually saw the CNN episode which talked about JFK's affair. I did not get the impression that they were trying to glamorize it in any way. In fact, there was a lot of coverage about how Jackie was taking all this, and how she had started thinking about leaving him. It talked about how Bobby was advising JFK to cool it if he wanted to keep his job, which JFK did to some extent. It was talking about the resulting dysfunction. I don't remember any glamorization.

Did you see the episode, or are you just going based on what rightwing sites are saying about it?

Get a grip man...

.

A grip? Ohhhh....you mean, on the facts? Do you find verifiable evidence unsettling? Shall we stick to salacious BS?
