I've said this in many comments I've made on the internet in various forums:

"The Art Of The Con is where the conman accuses others of the very thing the conman is guilty of".

There is a plethora of examples of this principle by Trump. On the following example, it's his propaganda wing, Sinclair Media, dictating to its affiliates to read aloud on the air a particular corporate llne friendly to Trump, having to do with "fake news", which goes against the idea that local news stations provide their own content, their own words, independent of their corporate master etc. If you listen to the mashup of all the different affiliates, what is alarming is that everyone of them are reading off the same script, the one provided by Sinclair.

And in the script they read is "one-sided news......dangerous to democracy" etc. when Sinclair is guilty of the very message it requires it's affiliates to read on the air.

So...Sinclair activating their own in-house echo chamber is worse than the rest of the Mainstream Media voluntarily engaging in their echo chamber.

Okay.

Nice spin. But your wishful thinking about MSM doesn't match the evidence I just provided.

Yes, it is also called "transference": accusing someone of being what you yourself actually are.

Hence "crooked Hillary" etc, etc.

Just be the first one to have enough nerve to level the accusation, that "pwooves" it and also immunizes the accuser.

Thx :)

Well, doing this is an attempt to make sure no one will notice that it is the conman who is the culprit, not the one he accuses.

Yech, "transference" is so, well, clinical. You have to admit 'The Art Of The Con' has a lot more zing, given the dig on the title of his book.

It's standard GOP operating principal #116.

Trump's latest is "how the democrats blew up the DACA deal."

All it takes is someone with enough unmitigated gall to use it so obviously and so often; the GOP know he does nothing but lie but probably admire him for it.

Take a look around here, "transference" is used all the time.

Thx :)

You do understand, like Confederate currency, that such pabulum has no value, no purchase anywhere outside Democrat circles, right?

Its called "projection " what you are doing. Slenderman created this problem, did the unConstitutional, did not go through the requied legislative process but instead by executive fiat ... for which legally he had not the power.

https://www.heritage.org/immigration/commentary/daca-unconstitutional-obama-admitted

So there hould never have even been this situation without unauthorized executive overstep. Our current President gave Congress, which does have the power, a sufficient window in which to act. Then our President tripled what slenderman had offered and the dim dems still didnt accept. This acceptable offer was made to have a win win on DACA, to which many on this side had very reluctantly acquiesced... and the Democrats shut down the government a couple of days, weakly caved to reopen and yet never took the tripled offer.

Yes, Democrats had their chance, if they wanted DACA for any other reason than as a wedge issue with which to bludgeon the other side--- yes "democrats blew up the DACA deal."

Its obvious. BTW, how much is a $5 CSA note, in pristine condition, going for these days?

The president himself shot down the best chance a DACA bill had of passing, pulling out all the stops when it looked like it might squeak over the finish line as a win, even bringing in the head of the DHS to make some wild claims to kill it. The President's own plan got the least support of any of the plans and was actually the only bill to get 60 votes in the Senate...only it was 60 votes against!

There is simply no way for trump to dodge this particular bullet. However the DACA recipients got to where pre-trump is a straw man argument. The issue is that they have been used by trump as a means to get to changes in Immigration policy that are wholly counterproductive, particularly to the economy and saving getting that in return, trump has been unwilling to act or support any rational approach leaving even Lindsey Graham frustrated. Even his wall funding was not enough to get him to relent.

He is not going to get draconian Immigration policy in trade for DACA recipients. I doubt he will be able to make his bid at including unvetted dreamers in with DACA recipients in order to get it done either and at the end of the day, if these 700,000 DACA recipients are deported, it will incense the business community for one thing. Trump can tweet till hell freezes over, those truly engaged in the DACA issue will not allow him to shift the blame elsewhere if wholesale deportation of DACA recipients begins. The courts have actually given trump a break as much as they have given DACA recipients a break.

There is no "bullet" to dodge.

DACA was a wholly improper action on the part of the Obama Administration, a fiat Executive Order that had no force of law, but is now treated as if it does.

Laws are supposed to be made by Congress, administering those laws is the job of the Administration.

I, for one, am glad Congress did not accept Trump's compromise offer because it was too generous and reminded me of all the other amnesties we've given with little but socio-economic problems in return.

There is nothing "draconian" about merit based immigration laws, eliminating chain immigration, or any of the other suggestions made by the current administration. There is nothing racist, xenophobic, Islamophobic, or any other "ism" the Left likes to spout about Immigration reform.

If one President can create a problem, another can fix it and if Congress refuses to act to properly do so, then the President is fully within the ACTUAL law to begin deportation of people who came to this country illegally.

Okay.

Instead of constantly stroking tRump's genitals, why don't you folks start listing all of the "Fake News" items that you claim the MSM is guilty of?
Then we can compare those to the daily lies that tRump dispenses. How about that?

tRump's tactic has been around for a very long time. Simply state the sane bull**** over and over and a segment of the population (usually those with limited intelligence) will start to believe it. tRump has said many times that he likes dumb folks and this is exactly why. "Thinkers" and those with some initiative will take the time to research and see if what tRump is saying is truthful. Those that are dumb and lazy simply choose to believe what tRump tells them. tRump despises the former and thrives on the latter.

Bringing in some aspects of merit is fine...subtracting family migration isn't and if the president's plan was so wonderful, he would have gotten more Republicans to vote for it. You don't get to 60 against in the Senate with Dems. Plus I doubt anybody believes any merit based system configured by Miller would be fair. The one proposed does not mirror other merit based systems and creates a system that would dock points from most spouses that an immigrant would try to bring over. As usual its another trump sham that does not pass muster.

There will be a rhetorical bullet to take because of the negative impact on business if these 700,000 fully vetted DACA recipients are deported. There will be a rhetorical bullet and it will be aimed right at trumps head. Nobody but nobody at that point or even now is going to be swayed by the "Obama allowed them in argument". Too late for that....ancient history. You can keep making that argument to yourself and the hard core base. But that hard core base is not big enough to matter.

Why do you avoid my point?

Because a usual, you have no point. Something about tRump fascinates you and the rest of the tRump ass kissers here. Maybe it is his habit of getting away with being a sex abuser or maybe you guys secretly fantasize about sex with porn stars. Maybe it his projection of wealth. Whatever it is, you folks have it bad.

Now, how about listing all of these instance of "Fake News" that you folks (at tRump's direction) constantly piss and moan about.

How about we start with an easy one. Were you DUMB enough to ever think that Mexico was going to pay for the wall? Yes or no?

Again, CONGRESS makes law, NOT the Administration.

They didn't have to follow Trump's plan, they can (and should) make their OWN plan and pass a law to enact it.

Isn't that what he said? Sure, he wants things in order to prevent a veto...but any veto can be over-ridden by Congress if their plan has enough support.

Meanwhile, your argument is typical...nothing can be done, it's to much trouble, the past is past, let's accept the situation and move on.

It is just that kind of thinking that has led us down our current path of SJW globalist ideocracy, unconcerned about how it affects our economy, our ideals, our social fabric...or more probably intentionally propagated to change our society into some socialist 1984 nightmare. (Yes, I fell into a bit of hyperbole there...but sometimes one must be allowed to vent a little when faced with intransigent short-sightedness. )

They did make their own plan and it was the closest to passing and included $20B+ for trump's idiot wall. But trump did not like it and pulled out all the stops in opposition including hauling out the head of DHS to make wild claims in opposition. Senate Repugs lost their nerve and that was that. That bill only fell 6 votes short of passage in the Senate which the GOP controls. Again, Lindsey Graham was utterly frustrated by what the president did to that bill claiming that he "just did not know where they go from here" meaning it was obvious to Graham that trump was not going to support anything that did not include his draconian Immigration policy changes.

As it is, nobody on the Hill is willing to stick their necks out again including Hill Republicans. So nothing will be proposed till after November. We can keep playing ring around the rosy forever if you want. There is simply no way for trump to get out from under this one and he can be as thankful for the court's action as the DACA recipients can be as it spared him in the same sense that it spared them.

I agree with you, but it's called projection...

https://www.everydayhealth.com/emot...projection-dealing-with-undesirable-emotions/

"Psychological projection is a defense mechanism people subconsciously employ in order to cope with difficult feelings or emotions. Psychological projection involves projecting undesirable feelings or emotions onto someone else, rather than admitting to or dealing with the unwanted feelings."

You mean like Hillary and Bill taking actual cash (millions) from Russia and Russian interests then accusing other people of colluding with Russia?

interesting...

I heard some pundits refer to it in a political setting, a debate tactic, but I see in psychological terms "transference" means something altogether different and "projection" would be a better term to use, thank you.

Thx :)

Then it, DACA, is gone.

Until Trump needs it. I and many couldve been convinced to allow these folks a chance, but I am certainly not going to be crying myself to sleep over it. There is no obligation on the part of any American to make right the mistake their illegal immigrant parents committed.

If you think Trump cannot dodge this bullet of slenderman's making...well, you have had your hands over your eyes and ears these last two years. Its not your mammas same old same old paradigm anymore. Our President will get what his base wants, a permanent border wall obstructional monument to our continued sovereignty. Draconian immigration laws? Those are exactly what the majority of Americans want, for sure ending both the crazy lottery and chain migration...but the majority is willing to go even further. Agreed, most also want DACA... which Trump, once he gets what he wants and needs, will no doubt bestow, with or without Democrat help.

I am also guessing, speaking of courts, Trump will get 1 or 2 more new Supremes to sing backup to his lead on the immigration issue. I see it a soulful tune that will top the charts.
