Conservatives and their youtube videos

You see what you want to see.

you probably look for conservative videos so you can argue.

I don't look for videos at all. I don't watch political videos on youtube. I'm a liberal. What I've noticed is that there a lot of conservatives around here who start threads in which the entire OP is just hey watch this brilliant video rant I saw which totally settles the debate. (spoilter alert) it never settles the debate.

Considering YouTube used to be the domain for liberals and was even used to feed into the Democratic Party primary debates, while conservatives were still sending chain emails and figuring out blogs, I think this post is hilarious.

OK, suppose you state the goals of the left (as demonstrated by the current Democrat Party) in some concise and coherent manner. The term Fascism takes its root from
The key component of fascism is and always has been nationalism. It is by using excessive patriotism and national identity that they are able to justify their use of force to control things in the name of the country. Authoritarianism would be the next most important aspect of it. Listening to Trump supporters and Trump himself it is very clear that they seem to think he is some kind of magical human being with a superior intellect that alone is capable of saving their country.

3) The Democratic-Socialist Party of the USA (fascist of libertarian)
Neither. These are not remotely two ends of a spectrum.

Democratic socialism is by definition democratic. It believes that certain things are too important to allow private corporations to try and profit off of them and that doing so causes far more problems than it solves, but it still allows for that control to be decided by democratic elections not a singular authoritarian leader of any kind.

4) The conservative movement for economic, educational, and social autonomy by limiting government power. (fascist or libertarian)

Limiting the power of government is simply an attempt to put more power in the hands of the next highest institutions of power. Religion and Major Corporations. Both of which operate under an authoritarian style that is far closer to fascism than anything the Democratic party would ever support.

Libertarians and conservatives claim to prefer the private sector because it improves efficiency, but that efficiency stems from the fact that private companies are ruled by authoritarian CEOs who can individually direct their corporations to act quickly decisively and severely punish any employee who is questioning them. There's no democracy, there's no debate. They do what they want, and so long as they provide a product their customers want, they succeed regardless of what underhanded methods or what damage they may do in order to provide that product.

Just because Conservatives are behind the times doesn't mean they can't catch up and surpass. Why would Democrats really need youtube when virtually all the mainstream media in the world is supposedly on their side already anyway?

I'm not giving you a citation for something you can look up yourself.

Because liberals are not that different from conservatives in wanting their commentary spaces and creating an audience for those views. Conservatives mostly hued toward older media models until Glenn Beck ditched cable broadcast.

No, I actually can't, because it's a nonsensical assertion. Liberals never controlled youtube. We might have been tech savvy enough to start using it earlier, but when it comes to varying forms of media Liberals tend to dominate printed forms of media, whereas conservatives tend to prefer Talk Radio, Cable News, and other internet video sources.

I've long believed it has to do with the attention span to a certain extent. When you look at talk radio and cable news their segments are generally broken down into lengths that are designed for the average attention span of a person. Whereas opinion columns and internet blogs tend to take a little more effort to consume.
