This I would argue is mostly non-political, but since it pervades our politics, it really has to be discussed. Personally, I'm tired off the round the clock coverage of personal affairs by our news agencies. I'm not arguing that this isn't important, or that it doesn't matter, but rather that there are more important things. The Stormy Daniels stuff is awful, and if true, shameful. It goes against my moral sensibilities, and it is certainly not something that I would want to talk to my family about. But still, do I want my news to be covering this? Not at the expense of policy. While the news is frantically covering this, we've ignored the pork in the omnibus bill, we've ignored immigration, we've ignored the economy, and we've ignored law and order. I'd rather have 50 minutes discussing those issues every night rather than the personal scandals of our politicians.

Again, it's grotesque, but there are more important issues that we need to be dealing with. Who's with me?

I know how I prefer my coverage on Stormy Daniels, and it's definitely not on the news.

Oh, I'm kidding.

I prefer dark skinned girls to white chicks. Alexis Texas excluded.

This is still pretty gross. Let's please not make this a porn thread.

Oh come off your high horse. Everyone watches porn.

Most people today do, yes, but it's distasteful and awful for society, and for everyone who partakes in it.

The nearly complete inability to prioritize is one of our worst failings in modern America. This is a very very important life skill that we have failed to pass down.

Did you feel this way about the 24/7 coverage of the Monica Lewinsky scandal? (assuming you are old enough to remember or to have had an opinion on it?)

Being addicted to immediate gratification via electronic entertainment is certainly contributing. This stuff is more exciting than trade policy, so it gets more play, even though it actually matters to most Americans far less.

I was pretty young at the time, but looking back, it certainly was excessive. I don't care much for the stuff about Obama and some guy claiming some history with him. I didn't like it with Al Franken either, but in that case I didn't like him, it was an excuse to get rid of him. Still, I wanted to get rid of him because of his policies, not his personal life.

The bigger problem is that the Ego always wants what the ego wants and it wants it now but far too few people these days ever grew up enough to learn that living under the tyranny of the ego is a inferior way to live.

Tech is not the main problem, we are.
