While you go off on your rampage about Pence one could claim Bill Clinton and Hillary were a perfect depiction of King Ahab and Jezebel.

King David the man who did it all would not find any grace in your eyes yet he found grace in the eyes of G-d.

Pence is a true Christian and he understands saved by grace. You don't.

I am not a Christian. That being said it is my understanding that a person true to that faith would not be so judgmental.

I'm not asking Pence to judge Trump. But, I do find it hard to justify him working for Trump.

He doesn't have a job you can just quit. Plus in 2019 when democrats take the house Trump will be impeached and the Senate may just go along with it. Then Pence gets the top job. It will be interesting to see how much people like him as President. I am pretty sure I won't.

You have to remember that most religious people are culturally religious. The religion is just part of their culture and upbringing. They don't actually adhere to its teachings. The teachings they can't accept they twist or rationalize away.

The popes of the middle ages are a great example of this. They were utterly corrupt. They slept with whores. They took bribes. They were just rich people who went into the church for power.

The "Christian Right" is just as corrupt as the old Catholic Church was. Whenever you seek worldly power (politics or money) you corrupt the message.

I think Pence lied about not knowing that Flynn was going to meet with the Russian ambassador. I do agree that if Pence were true to his faith, he would resign because he could not be a party to dishonesty. He would first talk to the president and try to make him behave in an honest way (like Jonathan did to King David). If Trump did not listen he would resign.

But he won't resign because he seeks worldly power and has been corrupted.

I don't claim that I am a better man or Christian than Pence. I only claim that a Christian should resign rather than be involved in deception.

I see the corruption in their actions and beliefs can be twisted for selfish ends. If they act corrupt and greedy, they should be treated as such.

The religious right think they righteous because they look down on homosexuals and teenagers who had abortions, but they will always pick the all mighty dollar over Jesus. Their "faith" asks everything of others and nothing from themselves, which makes it self serving.

I know you disagree with the whole idea of a 'President Pence', but 'whatabout' THEIR claims of being a Christian.
A REAL Christian would want a 'President Pence' over this CinC by an infinite number of orders of magnitude.

Once reluctant lefties do accept the sheer necessity of a 'President Pence', then Mike is fair game on the ISSUES.

Well yes_Minister here is my take you nor anyone else has the right to paint anyone the way you did. You don't know their hearts, don't know the level of their understanding ....you don't know squat yet made a judgement.

That's a trite Care Bears argument. If I can't judge someone on their actions, because maybe in their hearts they think their corruption is justifiable, that renders the concept of moral judgments to be meaningless. Pence's faith is not a get of jail free card that absolves him of moral responsibility.

He knows that Trump is a liar and a vulgar man. He knows that Pence supports him.

No one can serve two masters. You can't serve both God and Trump. Either you will hate God and love Trump or you will be devoted to God and despise Trump. You cannot serve both God and Trump.

The Christian Right should really heed Jesus' warning about getting too involved in worldly affairs.
