Why Are Conservatives More Susceptible to Believing Lies?

You one of the first to insist on civility; perhaps you should look in the mirror.

"You mad bro?"

Perhaps you should stop trying to be Rev. Lite

Maybe you should stop trying to make the thresd about me? I know you're intimidated by me, but tone it down, bro.

No one lol, not even little Snoopy is intimidated by you.

Your constant gnashing at the teeth over my posts indicates that you feel threatened and you're acting out. You're probably outside, pissing on trees this very moment.

You seem to always want to launch into insulting, accusatory posts based on a double standard. The only reason could possibly be because you're mad, because you know I'm right.

You one of the first to insist on civility; perhaps you should look in the mirror.

Had to complete the strike out, I see.

Right about what? You haven't said anything.

Your personsl attacks prove my point. Are you pissing on trees, like Rogue Valley?

Why conservatives are more susceptible to believing in lies.

Many conservatives have a loose relationship with facts. The right-wing denial of what most people think of as accepted reality starts with political issues: As recently as 2016, 45 percent of Republicans still believed that the Affordable Care Act included “death panels” (it doesn’t). A 2015 poll found that 54 percent of GOP primary voters believed then-President Obama to be a Muslim (…he isn’t).

Then there are the false beliefs about generally accepted science. Only 25 percent of self-proclaimed Trump voters agree that climate change is caused by human activities. Only 43 percent of Republicans overall believe that humans have evolved over time.

This article helps clarify why so many people on this board either post nonsense or refuse to believe true facts.

It's because Conservatives are imperfect beings. Only Progressives have achieved perfection in their lives, their emotions and their intellect. That perfection comes with a heavy burden as it then becomes their responsibility to instill their knowledge in others. Unfortunately, others often resist or fail to see the perfection in the Progressive life and that requires the Progressive to take on disciplinary roles. The time it takes a Progressive to mete out this discipline detracts from the time they can spend basking in their own glory thus the world becomes a darker place.

I like that the rationale is that McCabe wasn't literally writing the memos up during his conversations with Trump while Trump was sitting in front of him.

I know, right? Because nobody would ever take notes afterward to preserve the conversation. Well, we know Trump never would, and if Trump himself never would, nobody ever would, I'm sure.

Did you believe "if you like your plan, you can keep your plan"?

wow....10,000 vs one...you lose

How about Benghazi, Obama is a Muslim, Obama was not born in this country, Obama is not a Christian, Seth Rich conspiracy theory, Rush Limbaugh: NASA lied about finding water on Mars, Fox & Friends: “Illegal aliens” are registered to vote, Breitbart.com: “Mob” of Muslims tried to burn down a German church, “Pizzagate is real”. I could go on an on....and on and on. Funny but the screamers of fake news don't ever say that about all these instances many of which were walked back publicly like Alex Jones on Pizza gate. Below is what I think from a posting I wrote the other day

"You can not argue this point with Conservatives. They are sheep that were shepherded to a specific source of news that fits their world view. They have been convinced to not watch national or cable news so that the Kleptocracy can take hold of this country with a firmer grasp. With the Wells Fargo incident of opening millions of unsolicited Credit Card accounts somehow the idea that watering down banking laws seems like a good idea to these simpletons. Arguing with a Conservative these days is like arguing with a 5 year old that the tooth fairy really does not exist. When Conservatives point to a website coming from....;Trumps words, "a 400lb man living in his Momma's house" how do you argue a point when they do not believe your source; the entire News media including Fox News...."just watch Shep Smith" ,and only believe a story on the INTERNET with no fact checks and not even picked up by Fox News because of it's utter bull$hit. My friend a Conservative bought up a story that Flynn was going to reverse his guilty plea.....I asked him why this was not reported on any credible news source including Fox News? His reply was I dunno! And I replied because it is bull$hit Einstein!"

Obama lied 129,673 times in his first term, alone.

Your bias keeps you from recognizing my actual and legitimate rebuttals.

Your intransigence keeps you engaged with me and this thread.

Feel free to make an actual rebuttal.

It's always the same "lie" why is that? Trump lies more than that before 6:00am every day. Is that the only one that you can even accuse Obama of in 8 years? It sure seems that way. :2razz:

Trump has told OVER 2400 lies in only a year...https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/politics/trump-claims-database/

The difference is that Trump lies about **** that doesn't matter. In other words, comparing things like "my crowd was the biggest" and "if you like your plan you can keep it" is stupid. One doesn't effect anyone one bit, the other had people kicked off their healthcare plans that they've had for years.

You're partially correct. Trump lies about pretty much everything, things that do matter and things that don't matter. It's the lies about things that don't matter that destroy any chance of him being taken seriously when and if he ever does tell the truth.

Fear, insecurity, comfortable and don't want to change?

Maybe conservationism in general indicates some amount of unwillingness to take in new information and incorporate it, which is "change/progressive".
I mean, that's the definition in a way...rejecting new, better information and analysis, in favor of what they know and what is routinely reinforced in their life/media.

Your constant gnashing at the teeth over my posts indicates that you feel threatened and you're acting out. You're probably outside, pissing on trees this very moment.

No, your posts are a **** stain on the world and we would prefer to remove them. We can't, and it can get annoying and smelly.

The difference is that Trump lies about **** that doesn't matter.
Be honest, Trump lies about everything, all day, every day. It's his MO and he has told people this, it's written in his book, it's been shown daily at the White House.
He doesn't just like about irrelevant things, he lies about critical things, moderate important, unimportant. Everything. He lies so much that you and I both know that he lies about stuff that he never needed to comment on in the first place, creating the need for him to craft *More* lies just to defend.

Here's the problem with Liberals and Liberalism. They advocate rapid change just for change sake. They believe if it ain't broke fix it and when it becomes FUBAR, throw more money at it.

No, they don't advocate that.

What a quaintly abusrd thing to assert.
