I want to see the OP, prove the thread title. Just a partisan thread to go fishing. That is all.
Why conservatives are more susceptible to believing in lies.
Many conservatives have a loose relationship with facts. The right-wing denial of what most people think of as accepted reality starts with political issues: As recently as 2016, 45 percent of Republicans still believed that the Affordable Care Act included “death panels” (it doesn’t). A 2015 poll found that 54 percent of GOP primary voters believed then-President Obama to be a Muslim (…he isn’t).
Then there are the false beliefs about generally accepted science. Only 25 percent of self-proclaimed Trump voters agree that climate change is caused by human activities. Only 43 percent of Republicans overall believe that humans have evolved over time.

Ok, this is just my personal opinion, but here goes.
1. They believe lies because they are often religious which is rooted in nothing but lies.
2. They believe lies because truth is complex and nuanced. Cons do not do nuance.
3. They believe lies because their worldview is constructed by endless lies: guns save lives, economics trickle down from rich to poor, everyone has equal opportunity, Black people are not marginalized, whites have no inherent privilege, males are oppressed....
 that should cover it.
Liberalism is dangerous because it is the little sister to Communism, a bigger threat. You see, Liberalism and the US Constitution are incompatible. But being a Bolshevik, you probably don't care about the proper framework of our Constitutional Republic.

How drastic will the IPAB cuts be? Here is the math:
Considering IPAB is mandated to keep Medicare costs in check with the rate of inflation, and the current rate of inflation is 1%, and with no new beneficiaries added to Medicare, then it will still be drastic but plausible. But being constrained to a 1% growth per year in Medicare per capita costs, the current 52 million Medicare beneficiaries will swell to 73 million beneficiaries by 2025, or 11,000 per day, as the baby boomers hit Medicare age, and the number of workers per beneficiary dropping from the current 3.4 to 2.3 by 2025, the IPAB is a death panel. But IPAB is only a death panel in the academic sense as they are following mandates created exclusively by the Democrats.
The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.
So far so good. We agree up to here. You will find conservatives who do, indeed, fit your ideas, but, like "liberals," the term, "conservative" is a umbrella descriptor that encompasses so many variables that it would take a book just to come close to describing all who fit under that umbrella.
The OP is a hit piece, as I'm sure you're aware. The author pulls selective ideas and uses them to back his pre-formed notions. You know what that type of methodology is similar to?
Religion.
At any rate, it's not scientific.
While many conservatives are religious to some degree -- so are many liberals. The evangelical branch of conservatism is noisy, but not predominate in size. Religion is an issue, to be sure, but "superstition" is a far greater problem. Because it narrows the perspective.
You go off the rails a bit. IMO, history is important, but Cons missed most of the big lessons. Take just one--the economics of believing rich people will automagically provide decent working conditions, wages and follow fair labor practices, free of discrimination, child labor, ungodly and unpaid work hours, etc., without outside pressure from government. History proves this to be pure fantasy. What really binds most conservatives is history and a sense of responsibility. Conservatives tend to pay attention as students in History class - they learn lessons from the mistakes made by previous centuries of humans, and they seek to apply those lessons to today's situations. Why? Because, while time changes endlessly, human nature does not. Humans want the same things today that they wanted many millennia ago.
And, it would be wise to consider that, while society has progressed quickly of late, 200 years from now, they'll look back on many of today's "liberal" ideas and find them antiquated.

But, then...

You spewed a huge dose of babbling nonsense, not academic truth. I gave you a legitimate rebuttal. I can't make you embrace reality.
No worries. This forum accepts the ridiculous along with the erudite. Peace to you and yours!
A few points:
1) "Death panels" wasn't a reference to the ACA and it certainly wasn't a reference to the IPAB. That's a later retcon to try and sound less insane.
2) Following up on (1), this is the coinage of that idiotic term:
Is that how you think the IPAB was supposed to work? A panel of judges that decides on a case-by-case basis whether to put babies to death? Maybe you need a primer on Medicare.
3) IPAB was based on per capita cost growth so it makes no difference how much enrollment in Medicare swells.
4) Similarly, a "number of workers per beneficiary" statistic has nothing to do with it.
5) Medicare per capita cost growth was not "constrained to a 1% growth per year," it was constrained to GDP +1%. It's only constrained to 1% growth in per capita costs in a year in which GDP growth is zero. If Trump hits his absurd projection of 6% GDP growth, then IPAB wouldn't have been triggered unless per capita Medicare spending growth exceeded 7% per year. Out of curiosity, how much faster than the rest of the economy do you think Medicare should be growing on a per capita basis? You know, to avoid having to haul old folks in front of the old death panel?
6) The IPAB was never formed, was never triggered (per capita Medicare cost growth has been historically low since the ACA passed), and even if it had been it wouldn't have put anyone to death.
People convince themselves of very dumb things sometimes.

The language functions exactly as a death panel.
The proposal shall not include any recommendation to ration health care, raise revenues or Medicare beneficiary premiums under section 1818, 1818A, or 1839, increase Medicare beneficiary cost sharing (including deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments), or otherwise restrict benefits or modify eligibility criteria.
Yes and those jobs will leave as they have because Unions and workers are not willing to compromise. In the 80's many good jobs left because the Unions demanded what could not be provided, and run those business off shore.
If you believe Trump, you just may have a lock on believing lies.I'm not so sure about this "more susceptible" stuff.
I don't have any numbers, but I'd guess that 100% of liberals and Trump haters believe Trump is a racist. And considering how this group eagerly and willingly believes all the BS pushed by the Mainstream Media about Trump, I'm thinking conservatives don't have a lock on believing lies.
This seems to be one of your standard ultimate capitulations, when you can't even come up with a response to the response calling you out for not having a legitimate response. You mad bro?
If the right wingers in this thread are any indication, the answer to your question, like the rightwing answer to many questions, is:
Because Liberals!!!
Feel free to make an actual rebuttal.
