Andrew McCabe just got fired [W:375]***

Re: Andrew McCabe just got fired

Why did Sessions fire him?

Why did Sessions wait until the perfect moment to slip the knife in and twist it?

Because the FBI/DOJ recommended it. The timing was uncalled for.

Did the DOJ start the investigation because of tweets?

Re: Andrew McCabe just got fired

That report -- the details of which have not been publicly released -- is said to conclude that McCabe misled investigators about his role in directing other officials at the FBI to speak to The Wall Street Journal about his involvement in a public corruption investigation into the Clinton Foundation, according to a source briefed on it.

When/what did the FBI tell the WSJ about a CF investigation?

Re: Andrew McCabe just got fired

Good grief ... sorry for that huge copy ... :3oops:

Re: Andrew McCabe just got fired

Hmm... is hearsay better when it was said to be fresh?

It isn't heresay when Comey wrote it down in a memo right after the meeting and then got witmesses for him doing so. that info is often used in courts when done by the FBI.

Re: Andrew McCabe just got fired

I've been treated very well, in some cases better than I deserved.

Me too, I am a big winner in the current scheme, all the fantastic sex and playtime I can take, and I am retired at 55 pursuing big drinking and great eating and writing and arguing and smoking the best weed of my life as much as I want. Plus the kids are doing much better than their peers mostly, and 2/3 now understand that what they long took as neglect was me making sure that they had the skills they need to be awesome adults.

But I look around at all the carnage, and I care.

Remember 2 my recent restaurant.

All that face time with reality.

Whatever you say, as a sage lawyer, must be true. If I write something and you see it done (for example this post asserting that my girlfriend promised to name me as the sole heir in her will) - does the fact that you knew when I wrote it make it any more true?

Re: Andrew McCabe just got fired

Wow.

I have to say, if it's true he gets no pension, after working all but 2-4 days or so of his career in service, I think that's criminal too. I can't even begin to imagine what it's like to have your much of your nest egg, evaporate simply because you got fired. A penalty, sure. Lose 3-4 years of vesting for example, I get that. An entire pension? I don't know how people live under those conditions...it's like a ticking time bomb.

**** him, if he broke the law.

Re: Andrew McCabe just got fired

Now that all depends upon the quality of the person listening.

Call it useful self selection.

I have somewhere around a 65 to 70 dB loss. It has been part of me since Vietnam and has been progressive over the years. My reading comprehension has always been excellent. Probably as a result of my hearing loss my reading is likely better than it was in previous years. I rely on it.

None of the above matters. Sessions' action regarding McCabe remains ironic given Session's own butt****ery with the truth under oath.

Here's the real deal. Sessions has a get out of jail free card. If he resigns President Stable Genius gets to choose a Session replacement.

Re: Andrew McCabe just got fired

In a couple of weeks we will hear that McCabe got a $5 mill book deal.

I reduced it to $5 mill as I believe Comey received a $10 mill book deal shortly after having been fired, and McCabe was only #2.

Re: Andrew McCabe just got fired

I think the Justice Department's internal review had much to do with it. But go ahead, blame Trump.

I was just watching Don Lemon and Lawrence O'Donnell talk about this. It seems that this firing was purely political. In fact, there is the distinct possibility that Trump colluded with the IG and the OPR to force the determinations which he then used as leverage to force Sessions to fire McCabe. Furthermore, from what I was able to gather from those two sources and their esteemed panelists, the likely reason for Trump doing all this is to distract from the Stormy Daniels story.

Seriously, here's what stands out to me so far. From McCabe's post termination statement (as relayed by the talking heads on TV) he is claiming that he didn't lie or intentionally misspeak. It was all a misunderstanding and when he realized that there might have been a misunderstanding he went back to clear it up. Now, let me ask you, if someone you know is being accused of problematic behavior, and you question them about it, and after they give you their version of the story they come back again and again to make sure you don't misunderstand....what do you start to think of that story?

Re: Andrew McCabe just got fired

If somebody broke into your home and attempted to steal a million dollars from you - what you you do as that person was attempting to do that?

That is exactly what we have here with Trump & Sessions acting like petty authoritarians stepping in at the last moment to deprive a man of his pension.

I know what I would do if somebody tried to deprive me of a million dollars that I had earned.

What would you do?

McCabe was caught breaking the law. No surprise you're defending him.

What's McCabe going to do? He's going to lawyer up and try to stay out of prison.

Slam dunk win in a lawsuit. A good lawyer will even draw a 8-figure settlement on punitive damages. My guess is McCabe is about to become a very rich man.

Unless McCabe broke the law.

Incorrect.

He'll lawyer up and sue the **** out of the DOJ. And, probably win more money than Louisiana's GOP.

lol...I'm no fan of that clown. But, good luck with proving that.

This is Il Duce witness tampering; attempting to discredit those in a position to support Comey's notes related to Duce leaning on him over
the Flynn investigation. Either McCabe gets his pension and Duce is held to answer to the same legal authority as any other American resident,
or our government is rule by junta since 20 Jan., 2017.

Duce has intentionally exerted undue influence over the process and over Sessions, as he surely did in the courtmartial and sentencing of Bo Bergdahl, et al.

That's an odd thing to assert. Why wasn't he arrested after he broke the law?

Step up to the mic and make your case.

Re: Andrew McCabe just got fired

Unless McCabe broke the law.

The law that is "good enough" to twist to get Trumps scalp is malleable enough to get McCabes....that is the point.

Re: Andrew McCabe just got fired

At this point I am not even certain that McCabe committed a crime.

Is the action against McCabe politically motivated? I'm not certain that it isn't.

Why don't we compare McCabe's punishment to others such as Flynn? Without doing a lot of research McCabe's firing/punishment appears damned suspicious to me.

Oh, more than Trump's scalp is on the line here. Sessions and Trump will both be in orange and rooming with Bubba at this rate.
