Tomi Lahren kicks dogs

I expect she does not realize on how she looks, but I am sure 'nudge' or 'shove' is more likely.

I agree.

I just don't see how her original statement could be perceived as a joke. "My dog was chewing loudly so I kicked it five times. Hey, I was just joking!" Like I am really missing what the humor in that is but I am hateful and partisan because I just don't think that's funny?

Oh how funny, this must be a joke too, right?

You jokingly kicked your cat. But then you fully explained you didn't really "kick" her but nudged her.

Glad you clarified that. But I'm the hateful one. :doh

It's WORDS. You want to paint this as Lahren drop kicking her dog, while the truth is that she most likely did EXACTLY what people here are syaing she did and the dog wasn't harmed in any way. But you'll just keep spinning the story so that you can look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself that the blind hate you feel towards her is justified.

The 'I am joking' is an excuse for people who took it to be more aggressive I suspect. She should have said 'It was just a nudge out of the way' rather than 'it's a joke'. I think it shows on just the lack of social skills and grace that Tomi has more than anything else.

Hey, she said in her own words she kicked her dog five times. She didn't clarify it and say it was a nudge, she just said it was a joke. If you find that to be a joke and to be funny, that's on you.

I'm sure you didn't jump on instagram with a video of you telling the world what a bad cat you have and how you had to kick it 5 times for acting like a cat.

And that's pretty much the point.

I don't really think it was aggressive but that if it was a joke, it just wasn't funny.

It's not so much a matter of seeing it as a joke, rather, about you taking Tomi literally.
Some of us never took her to mean she was actually kicking her dog in the first place.
You are taking this WAY beyond what it was, and seem to be sticking with "J'accuse!!" instead of saying, "hey, I overreacted, it's all good".

Hey, you made a really good point.

Just joking!

Or am I?

Now see this response and the people, including the thread starter, who like your post, are politicizing the "alleged" dog kicking for their own politics.

Contrary to the fact that Trump gets his policies and agendas from Fox and Friends, it's not politics.

We just have a different sense of humor.

If someone tells me they kicked, nudged, smacked, whatever their dog or child because they were acting up, I'd understand but I wouldn't think it was funny.

edit to add: When you watch the social media post of her saying she kicked her dog, did you laugh?

What is your hang-up with laughing about it? Is it because someone said it was a "joke", and you're ceremoniously holding onto the idea that one must find a "joke" actually "funny"? Instead of making the connection that even though the term "joke" was used, that the intent of the term was simply, "not serious" or maybe "kidding around"?
