Good article detailing the main reason why Trump is president. Despite what Trump and his loyal fan base say, Trump never received a gigantic amount of support that previous GOP candidates didn't receive. Nor did Trump receive a large swath of white voters that previous GOP candidates didn't receive. Trump basically received roughly the same support that Dubya, McCain, and Romney did from white voters, and GOP voters overall. The fact of the matter is, Trump is sitting in the white house today because Obama voters either stood home, or voted third party. Had those same Obama voters come out and voted for Clinton in the same numbers they did for Obama twice, Clinton would be sitting in the white house today.

So what does this all mean? It means that Trump (if he's still president in 2020, and runs again) is VERY vulnerable, and the Democrats could easily take back the white house in 2020 with the right candidate to energize the base. The question is, will they blow what SHOULD be an easy victory in 2020 like they did in 2016, or will they learn from their mistakes? Hell, truth be told, the Democrats could win pretty much every election (including mid-terms) if their base actually went out and voted in high numbers the way Republican voters always do.
For that to happen, the Democrats have to run a candidate that truly lights a fire under their base. Hillary couldn't do it.

you're right. Obama did it, hence why he received a record 69 million plus votes in 2008. Could another candidate do it again? We will see.

That's why republicans fight so hard to gerrymander, suppress vote, purge voter registries, and try to make it as hard and inconvenient as possible for people to vote, because they know the people they target to vote are the minority in this country. The more people vote, GOP pandering to hateful, ignorant extreme right wingers would never win

He said surely they could have picked someone better to run. The first FEMALE President! You are going to be on coins! Pick someone worthy of such fame.

I wonder if Hillary still has a bottle of hot sauce in her purse?
Okay, that Halle Berry thing just made me laugh out loud.

If you have NETFLIX or Amazon Video you can see the whole routine.
    Hilarious!
I also saw Chris Rock's but he got pretty political and that made it not near as good as Dave's.

After I posted that I read Radioman's response to you, and laughed even harder.

You're not taking into account how public opinion will change during an impeachment trial. Most people have not been paying attention to the mountain of evidence against Trump or all the secret meetings and lies he has told. All of America will be watching during an impeachment trial. At the very least everyone would learn that Trump lied when he fired Flynn. He's already unpopular.

I don't think Trump survives a public impeachment trial because public opinion would quickly turn against him.

They did vote for the right person...Donald Trump, which made sense.
The election was fair without any delusional filled Russian interference.

    Learn to say "when".
If you think these Demos will take back the White House you're sorely mistaken. With all due respect I'm trying not to laugh at your opening post but in reality there's no denial, the liberal/Demos will not win.
