You can choose WHAT to sell, you just can’t choose WHOM to sell to. If Dick’s said they would sell rifles but only to homosexuals then that would be illegal.

1.) fact neither is "forced" to work for any of us
2.) ok i see. you have no idea how laws rights or the us works nor do you understand either of these issues since they are factually not the same.

they are free to choose not to seel semi autos if they like but if they dont sell them to people based on race, gender, religion THAT would be an issue
just like bakers are free to not sell any wedding cakes but if they dont sell them to people based on race, gender, religion THAT would be an issue

both are free to not see a product neither are free to illegally discriminate...


now with that said.... if the decision is made by the company, municipality, country or state it could get interesting if its challenged under age discrimination and see how far it goes. Could get tricky but people will have to fight and see how the court cases turn out.

Just remember. Dicks doesn’t believe in selling handguns either. But you can still go there and buy 9mm and .223 ammo out the ass. Funny huh? Maybe I should take my dog there and let her take a **** on the floor (they allow dogs inside)? Nah. I couldn’t do that to their underpaid employees.

Well to be fair, Dicks raised the age that they would sell rifles to 21, above the legal limit to purchase, correct? In which case they are choosing to whom they will sell a gun.

It is definitely age discrimination but apparently that is ok when the age is under 40 years old.
