Christopher Steele, the man behind the dossier

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ne...r-steele-the-man-behind-the-trump-dossier/amp

" In the Spring of 2016, Orbis Intelligence, a small investigative research firm that Steele and a Partner founded agreed to do opposition research on Trumps murky relationship with Russia

Under the aarrangement, Orbis was a sub-contracted of Fusion GPS, a privte Washington research firm

Fusion in turn had been contracted by a law firm, Perkins Coi, which represented Hillary Clintons campaign and the DNC.

Several months after Steele signed the deal, he learned that through his chain, his research was being subsidized by the Clinton campaign and the DNC "

So much for that Democrat talking pount

Why does this matter to you the several months later Steele learned who paid? It was perfectly legal.

What talking point are you talking about exactly? I don't think there was ever any official Democratic position on that. Did some official deny they knew who funded it??? I don't seem to recall that.

Because HILLARY.
You know why Newton's laws of motion are wrong? BECAUSE HILLARY BELIEVES IN NEWTONS LAWS!
You know why you can't drink water? BECAUSE HILLARY DRINKS WATER!
You know you can't crap in a toilet? BECAUSE HILLARY CRAPS IN A TOILET!
You know why you can't wear shoes? BECAUSE HILLARY WEARS SHOES!
You know you can't have blonde hair? BECAUSE HILLARY HAS BLONDE HAIR!

So much for another fail. These endless attempts to discredit a 20 year veteran of MI6 is disgusting and unwarranted. He's a patriot in my book and we are lucky to have men like him.. The idea that he would risk his reputation by making stuff up because the DNC paid for it is beyond ridiculous. You also forgot to link your source. Here's is a short bio of the man you are accusing of selling out...

Steele had spent more than twenty years in M.I.6, most of it focussing on Russia. For three years, in the nineties, he spied in Moscow under diplomatic cover. Between 2006 and 2009, he ran the service’s Russia desk, at its headquarters, in London. He was fluent in Russian, and widely considered to be an expert on the country. He’d also advised on nation-building in Iraq. As a British citizen, however, he was not especially knowledgeable about American politics. Peter Fritsch, a co-founder at Fusion who has worked closely with Steele, said of him, “He’s a career public-service officer, and in England civil servants haven’t been drawn into politics in quite the same way they have here. He’s a little naïve about the public square.”

First, I want to thank Fenton for a great "Laugh About" thread. Then I want to thank the rest of you for your humorous responses!

It matters because without this flimsy excuse for criticism the dossier would shatter their delusions.

Just curious. Do you wake up at night in a cold sweat worrying about what Mueller may do to your crush, Donald Trump?

By the way, I may have missed the Democratic talking point you reference. Can you share it? Like did they say "Trump funded the dossier because he loves to see his name in lights!" or "Roy Moore funded the dossier in between feeling up little girls through their training bras"?

If a republican finds that a democrat was doing shady stuff does that mean it automatically gets thrown out and doesn't matter?

This is a joke. He found out months after he got started. And he has a tremendous resume to do this kind of thing. Your side is trashing literally a dozen people with flawless careers based on the idea that a new york city billionaire reality show host with mob connections would never ever do something wrong.

Would you be happy now if Hillary had won? Yes or no.

It all boils down to the fact our elections have become all about destroying the other candidate/s and other party. Substance, ideas, visions, solutions to problems have no place in our election campaigns of today. working for the good of America has become passe, now it is all about the good of the political party, nothing more, nothing less. Our election system has become worst, our politics have become worst than a tenth rate banana republic.

So the hell what. Just because something is funded by someone doesn't mean that person or entity has to make stuff up. In fact, if they did, that would be bad for their client

Stupid right wing deflection because you can't deny any of the facts that Trump is a crook and is going down

I figured you'd refuse to answer.

Because it's a stupid ****ing question, and you know it. I didn't vote for her. I never did vote for her. I never would vote for her. Unlike Trump, I never wanted her to be President.

Don't ask me stupid questions you already know the answer to.

I said, yes or no.

Personally, I would be happier if a dead cow were elected before trump. Hillary would have been far superior. But, then so would the vast majority of the other republicans too.

That's really ****ing laughable. Trump beat 14 mainstream Republican candidates in a fair primary. Hillary cheated her way, even when she didn't need to. She's total piece of **** as a human being.
