Hope Hicks in a Nutshell

AM Joy nails it.

And your source is a twitter post by another Trump hater? Do you ever wonder why many just do not take you seriously?

That's the G-rated version of her job description. We should ask Stormy Daniels for the unedited XXX Version. Oh wait, she might have written about it herself: Hope Hicks apparently kept a White House diary
OMG!

No wonder she spent two full days in Mueller's office! There aren't many things that present better evidence and time-lines, than a contemporaneously written diary! No wonder Trump's in a panic over her leaving. His confidants leave, and then months later they are found to be working with Mueller.

I don't know how Trump can take the pressure. Seriously. Working inside the White House must be a hell-hole. How can you talk freely? Who can you trust? Hiding from the media. Wondering who may be wired, or gathering evidence? I just don't know how they do it! And how do they function?

Your president needs a baby sitter. Which do you think is more ridiculous?

While her job basically was cleaning up after the messes he made (which was suited for a business world, but legalisies often get in the way in politics), it would be a stretch to assume it was more than just being a yes person who 'made amends' to the folks he insulted. If there are journals.. then.. well we'll have to take it from there.

I wonder every day how someone could admire a childish, impulsive, racist, ignorant and corrupt person like Donald J. Trump. It's not about hate, it's about recognizing reality.

I hear that. It boggles the mind. And, the only explanation is not a pretty one--they are just like Trump.

As little as 5 years ago if a MARRIED politician paid a hooker $130,000 to keep quiet his career would be over, and the Family Value Republicans would disown him.

But with Trump? It is amazing, things like that roll right off his back. He has the far right radicals and racists in the GOP memorized, or hypnotized, or something. He could literally shoot someone on 5th Av. on video and 75% of the GOP voters wouldn't give a damn.

It is amazing, but also very, very scary.

Don't ever underestimate the hatred Republican voters have of Democrats/Liberals. Once you understand that hatred, you'll understand why a Trump presidency was even possible in the first place.

I understand it, and the other part is a large portion of the GOP base is still pissed off and looking for revenge because of Obama being elected not once, but TWICE!

Yeah, no doubt electing the lead birther was the GOP voters "payback" for the Obama presidency. Problem is, they don't seem to realize Trump won't be president forever, nor will the GOP be in power forever. By electing someone like Trump, and with the GOP enabling him, they are opening the door wide open for extreme politics. All of that could very well result in a far left wing president being elected in the near future, and if that president ends up with a Democrat house and senate the way Obama had back in 2009? Yeah, let's just say that they will end up realizing that electing Donald Trump was the biggest mistake they ever made. Extreme politics is NEVER a good thing, but it's the GOP base that is opening that door wide open.

Just think what would have happened if Obama had said publicly he was going to take people's guns away without due process. Every toothless redneck in the country would be immediately marching on Washington armed to the lack of teeth.

What's amazing is the hypocrisy of the GOP and the alt-right.

No it is simply vitriolic spittle spewing partisan hatred of the man who humiliated your party's candidate...speaking of Hillary, her mentor was Senator Byrd, a former klansman. Bill's was Senator Fullbright, an unapologetic segregationist.

Have to disagree. Yes, Trump used bigotry to his advantage, lied a lot, and made promises he had no intention of keeping. But lots of people who voted for him were disgusted with what they thought Hillary represented. Used to know a woman, now passed, who as a teen helped people escape fascism from Italy to Switzerland. She described the appeal of fascism as akin to what we saw with Trump's. Mussolini, it was said by my Italian relatives, made the trains run on time. That was the legit appeal of Trump, who promised to attack Wall Street and hurt himself with his tax plan. Instead, of course, he invited WS into his cabinet, no doubt benefited himself with tax cuts and didnt touch WS special advantages, as far as I know. But his appeal was genuine though his rhetoric phony.

If the people who voted for Trump had bothered to research on Donald Trump's past history, they would have known that his rhetoric was completely phony from the beginning. Donald Trump has always been the same. He only cares about himself, his immediate family, and of course his wealth. The only difference between Trump today and the Trump from years ago is that years ago he appeared smarter, and was able to put together coherent sentences. Today, he can't seem to do that anymore.

True. After all what is the average reply when someone brings up the latest Trumpian absurdity? "He's still better than Hillary."

I guess what irks me is that it took a lot of suspension of disbelief to buy what Trump was selling. So, we either have willfully negligent voters or a lot of really stupid voters. Maybe both.
