Should have Sessions protected Trump from FBI Russian investigations?

Trump has berated Sessions for not being loyal and protecting him from the Russian investigations. Do you believe that Trump is right and should Sessions put loyalty to Trump ahead of anything? Should Sessions have stayed as head of the investigations and guided them away from Trump, his family and those who were part of his campaign? Should he have just stopped the investigation at the start?

Trump is upset with Sessions because he spinelessly recused himself from the Russia witch-hunt when it turns out he didn't have to do that. Now it's being run roughshod by a establishment GOP and Dems.

Sessions had been thinking for decades about what he would do it he ever had the power that he has now, he was not going to short circuit that at the jump by getting enmeshed with Trumps drama and almost the entire FAILED INTELLIGENTSIA! who are out to get him.

Trump is mad and I can see why, but I can also see why Sessions did what he did enough that I am not willing to join DJT in this particular place.

Now even if Trump gets thrown out Sessions has a decent chance to keep his power.

That was a smart move.
