Looks like "Mr. Magoo" is pushing back.

Sessions doesn't need a weatherman to know which way the wind is blowing.

These recent weeks the Trumpster fire has gone multiple alarms.

The big picture is that Sessions committed serial perjury to Congress and Mueller's got him. Fair and square. The DoJ coup began at the restaurant when Rosenstein treated Sessions to baked crow.

Magoo has seen the light, no matter that Mueller had to shine it straight into his eyes. Bottom line is that L'l Beau is a lawyer who wants to keep his dream job running DoJ. He'd like a Potus who'll let him do that. Secessions has his right wing agenda and he means to inflict it on the society. Trump's only interest is that Sessions kiss The Don's ring. Magoo knows that's a dead end.

On the other hand, since several of the Trump Tweets had to do with the Sessions not handling the russian probe , firing sessions would be obstruction of justice.

Good for him. It's so freaking childish to make up these names for people.

LOL to be fair, Sessions really does look like Mr Magoo. :2razz:

This is legacy time for AG Sessions.
He wants to prove he should have been approved as a Federal Judge in the 1980s.
The photo of Sessions, Rosenstein, and Francisco eating together was priceless ...

Trump drives people so hard and relentlessly he eventually turns friends against him.

And the treasonous to go full on frontal.

We're talking about Benedict Donald here.

The armed forces are at war against enemies abroad while CinC is identifying enemies in our restaurants. So it's a relief Sessions has changed his MO from offices high up at Trump Tower and at the Russian embassy to public eateries frequented by DoJ and FBI employees. Upscale eating is good too so who could oppose it.

If Donald Trump finally follows through on his rage and fires Jeff Sessions, the image with this story will be printed in history books.

Tonight at 7:35pm, the Attorney General strode into a high-end Washington restaurant to dine with his deputy Rod Rosenstein and the Solicitor General Noel Francisco
.

Magoo finds the restaurant.

The symbolism was unmistakable: the three top ranking officials in the Justice Department appearing together in a show of solidarity on the same day Trump is publicly and privately raging about Sessions.

When Trump sees this photo he'll have to absorb a concept that some of his aides have been trying to impress upon him for nearly a year, since he first began telling them he wanted to get rid of Sessions.

The concept: Fire Sessions, then what next? Are you going to fire Rosenstein too? And then what after that?

Sources close to the situation say today feels different than Trump's usual rages. Sessions' allies are deeply concerned and Trump is totally fed up with his AG.

Trump has been taunting and publicly humiliating Sessions for months now, but his tweet this morning was as rough as any he's sent:

"Why is A.G. Jeff Sessions asking the Inspector General to investigate potentially massive FISA abuse. Will take forever, has no prosecutorial power and already late with reports on Comey etc. Isn’t the I.G. an Obama guy? Why not use Justice Department lawyers? DISGRACEFUL!"

Only in USA could the moment plotters hatched their coup be captured by some guy eating guacamole salad at the next table. And at a place a block from the DoJ building lawyers call tongue in cheek the Justice Department Cafeteria.

Well, am I wrong or does what you present here not quite rank up there with a Zapruder, James O Keefe or even Michael Moore'on?

As a partial answer to the article's question, at least from my perspective, is, if Sessions goes, in whatever fashion, he will be replaced by someone that can marshall the department. Sessions is too nice a guy...needs replaced with a stronger leader not associated with the campaign. There are capable folk out there.

Rosenstein is going to have his own problems, most probably that will be his full time job.

Certainly dont need to have Rosenstein, who himself is guillty of signing as an affiant to the veracity of the information presented along with its omissions as validly gathered and verified intelligence to the FISA Court...dont need Rosenstein investigating where he may well be prosecuted.

I am reasonably sure both will probably, near term, step down

The new and accurate word for Sessions and Rosenstein is witness.

That includes Comey, Sally Yates and several other high ups in the department.

Step down or fired or recused, we're talking witnesses.

And defendents.

We're not finding many defendants in DoJ. The folk there are, as I said, witnesses. Sessions committed serial perjury before Congress so Mueller's got him to rights. Fair and square.

Trump is meanwhile surrounded by formers and present types who are all the president's felons. Yes, I'm getting ahead of things by using the word felon, however, it is a rhetorical use of the word at this point and it is recognized easily and readily. We're not in a court of law.

Trump's been hamstrung to fire Sessions the witness and to order the firing of Meuller and Team America in the special counsel's office. Trump Fanboyz don't even talk about it much less speculate over it. It would be hard to believe the Trump Fanboyz would not want Mueller fired. Sessions is in fact giving Trump the ol' one-two, i.e., he's still AG and not protecting Trump, and Trump is suffering through the Mueller investigation Rosenstein initiated because Sessions is recused.

In New York money is the big deal -- private wealth. In Washington it is power, the rule of law and national security which puts Trump in waaay over his head and hopelessly so. Mag, er, Sessions knows Washington while Trump is a babe deposited there by people who know even less than Trump does.

Trump is losing his focus and being way too public on his own people.

I almost feel sorry for Sessions having to work for a boss who publicly stabs him in the back and then throws him under the bus. That has got to suck.

Just more proof that people who though the Donald had the leadership skills to run the Executive Branch just because he ran a family business were completely and utterly deluded. The man knows nothing about leadership.

Trump's not going to fire the ol mule. Another Special Counsel will be put in play to investigate U1...at which point the mule will step down as he will be meeting with his defense attys far too often. Rosenstein as well, no need to fire, none at all.

Wishing is not a strategy. Trump wouldn't know a strategy if it drop kicked him. Mueller is working strategy, not Trump and not the Trump Fanboyz who are following Trump's wishes from fantasyland. Trump knows he can't fire Sessions or Mueller or Rosenstein. Still however Trump does what he does then lets the chips fall where they may. It's this approach by which Trump has put himself behind the proverbial eight ball. I reiterate that Mueller has Sessions by the short hairs due to Sessions being a serial perjurer to Congress. Mueller interviewed Sessions late last year and now as the walls begin to close in on Trump he's lashing out wildly against Sessions. Trump has in fact laid off Mueller to try instead to reduce the issues of national security and sovereignty to a political fight between Democrats and Republicans. It's why youse guyz make yourselves look like the sore winners youse are anyway. Putin has Trump trapped too on the cyber warfare against the election of this year. Putin won't allow Trump to take any action to stop it which also exposes Trump to the American people as totally disinterested in combating Russian interference and sabotage elections. Indeed, Sessions, Rosenstein and Francisco are a kind of civilian coup against Trump taking foreign control of DoJ. Unlike at the White House, U.S. Department of Justice remains in American hands and under American ownership and control. Congress is next thx.

Thats quite a vivid imagination you got going there, wrong on practcally all of it. Trump can fire whomever in the executive branch he wants, when he wants. Nothing Sessions misspoke to congress about has him in any trouble. Mueller and Rosenstein will soon be, if not already, under investigation themselves.

Indictments should start in June July probably, then drip out weekly until mid term elections.Trump has outwitted everybody singly and en masse. He is allowing the bad guys and gals to self identify in their scramble to cover their tracks and plot further against him, to try to force out a sitting duly elected president.

That is treason and/or sedition you know. I see executions in the future.

....and Trump is a child, who for all we know thinks Mr. Magoo is real.

I say that you should have more respect for a guy who has done as much as he has.

Or any guy really....

Mr Magoo.......Trump just has to have his fun...He cracks me up sometimes.
