Gun grabbers beware/you still won't get it.

Let us look for one moment at the wonderful socialist country of Venezuela, the one with 13,000% inflation.

After taking a quick look at the clips provided, ask yourself if they took away our guns (lets face it, it is the ultimate goal) would we have to resort to the same tactics in order to eat?

Now picture our government allowing 13000% inflation here with us having guns, there would be a lot of dead politicians in the streets, police would not risk their lives against an armed populous, hell they were afraid of one nut kid in a school, no way they would dare go after a mod with guns.


Let us imagine this scenario, we keep our guns, the idea of us having those guns keeps the politicians at bay and doing a barely acceptable job that they do and we all eat without having too much to worry about.

Nah, better we turn over our guns and trust the govt. not to let us down, after all, when was the last time a govt. let their people down?
 
Americans love their freedom and will never, ever, surrender their arms to the gov't. Period. The left can whinge all they want, cry, bitch about Melania wearing high heels, and DJT drinking diet coke. The people keep their firearms. End of story.

No one is going to take away your guns. Unlike other countries we have the 2nd amendment in the Constitution. Yes, you have to register them, etc. but you still have them. I have yet to see even a handful of Dems that are hell bent on taking away ALL guns.

And FYI, if there was a real uprising of people against politicians, your gun isn't going to do squat to a military bombardment of mortars and bombings.

In theory guns are not registered, the form is retained at the retail outlet.
The Government is not supposed to have a database of who is buying guns and what type.
I think they do anyway, but it is against the law for them to do so.

You let me know what 1st world country has bombed it's own cities and I'll show you all out war. I'm talking riots and skirmishes. Mods of armed people will do a lot more damage then you obviously think.

Besides guns, the left wants you in smaller dwellings in denser spaces, using public transportation, and eating the way they want you to eat. The constitution was created to defend the republic from tyrants like these.

Missing bit there is that the military is made of citizens, as well.

A righteous uprising would have plenty of military hardware on both sides.

Thankfully, we aren't anywhere close to anything like that.

As a society, we're more like a 5yo pitching a fit in the toy store.

We might get the toys we want, but there never was any good reason for all that noise.

I think there is a misunderstanding about Take Away. While It is true, for now, their are relatively few people advocating for a buyback or house to house search to seize all guns. There is a push to limit or "take away" peoples ability to own, buy, sell, or trade semi automatic guns holding more than 10 rounds, like the bill recently introduced.


If you don't want gun rights people complaining about boogie men taking their guns away then tell anti rights people stop acting like boogie men proposing and introducing legislation taking away their ability to buy sell trade or own certain guns.

If you don't want people complaining about guns, stop promoting and passing bills that promote guns everywhere. Concealed Carry, Open carry, no questions asked, no training required.
Stop showing up with AR's to protest around a planned parenthood facility or a mosque.
Oh, and don't forget about religious liberty bills. You're gonna make me pray at school and at work. I just know it!
Damn, these slippery slopes are everywhere.

No argument from me that people need training to carry a gun. My only concern is localities that will use high fees as a way to limit who has a gun. Keep them reasonable, under 100 for all trading and permits, and I'm on board and have been consistent in more training.

I think one is stupid to do so, but the constitution protects them just as much as the idiots protesting dressed as huge plastic ******s. Are you suggesting we limit the right to assemble or only restricting those you disagree with from assembling in any way you don't approve of.

"taking away" 300 million guns, many from folks who won't cooperate, is a logistical impossibility.

Do a little math - 300 million, at the rate of 1 take-away per second. How long to take them all?

While they are citizens they are also govt. issue/ in WWII they were called GI's.

Do a little reasoning, Nazi's first asked the Jews to hand over "X" amount of gold/silver, and they did as a means of pacifying the Nazi's. Then came round 2, and they asked for more, and the Jews gave in again and took up collections at synagogues across the nation. Then came round 3 and more and more was turned in, all trying to keep the collectors/confiscators happy. It was never enough, and when the Nazi's felt they were safe enough to go door to door, they did just that.

So do some math, time is always on their side, they wear you down, neighbors report on neighbors, family members turn on family members....

A large percentage.

But what would be required is to ban the manufacture of whatever guns it is that we want to be rid of. Banning ownership without seriously restricting manufacture is foolhardy. It's like complaining about illegal immigrants and turning a blind eye to the employers that employ them.

Any crisis sufficient to divide the population to the point of violence will also split the government and military.

Thankfully, we are far far away from that eventuality.

I don't think it's as large as you would like. I own 5 .45 pistols. 1 has paperwork from a dealer so they can find and ask for that one. 1 was a private sell so chances are that one may not be tracked down. The other 3 are hand me downs no paperwork at all on them.

I would turn in 2 of them if required by law, but the heirlooms wouldn't get turned in. There are a lot of folks like me who are not giving up family treasures no matter what law gets passed.
