Should we just eliminate all gun control laws?

Should we just eliminate all gun control laws? Should we do as gun advocates say and not "infringe" on their rights to own any guns they wish including fully automatic weapons? Eliminate background checks and age requirements? I mean if you truly believe that the 2nd Amendment does not allow any gun control laws, then we should eliminate all of them. The head of the NRA once said that a law abiding citizen should be able to own all of the weapons that are used by our military soldier. So lets get it over with and just allow the weapons manufacturers to make and sell it all. That may finally satisfy the NRA and the GOP. What do you think?

Fine with me. I live far enough from the border that the racket won't keep me awake at night and I'm at no risk from strays.

You were doing okay until you brought up the myth that only republicans are fanatical gun nuts. You are waaay off. Most of the gun nuts I debated over the decades were rednecks, hillbillies, libertarians and Southern hippy cowboys. Most refused to vote for Bush and were much closer to Democrats than Republicans. Many didn't vote at all, and were very left winged in many ways. Then you add all the prisoners, ex-felons, crooks, thieves, gangs, illegal immigrants, Hispanics and blacks, most of whom love guns and vote for the Dems, and what you have is an awful lot of Lefties who would support your notion of 'no gun laws'.

No one is advocating the complete elimination of ALL weapons laws.

If the left is that interested in gun control, they would have surrendered their firearms a long time ago. Which I think they should immediately, btw. Set the example for all the other gun control fanatics and civil rights deniers across the country.

Yes. We should abide by the Constitution and eliminate all gun control laws.

However, we should ALSO massively increase the punishment for anyone who uses a firearm when committing a crime.

Don't restrict rights. Punish crimes.
