It’s funny how Hillary R. Clinton brought a dossier? If it’s true why’d you have a Russian dossier on Donald J. Trump? Here’s a serious question in September 2015, why would a conservative website the Washington Free Beacon done a opposition research on the Republican Presidential candidates. Here’s a serious question that I have where was the Federal Election Commission to rise concerns! There’s a clear picture on both political parties. Unless mr. Steele was trying to get information from the trump campaign to give it to Hillary to use against him as a political position which is dirty and, just plain unacceptable.

If memory serves me correctly, Steele was not involved when the Republicans were behind it. It wasn't until after they shopped it to Clinton that Steele was brought in.

From what I can gather, republican opposition to Trump forces were approached first, and dismissed it out of hand. It was too "out there, and without providence". Then they shopped it to the democrats when they were getting worried about Trump's popularity. They were advised to go to the Clinton campaign directly. I suspect that Blumenthal and Cody Shearer both worked with Steele to embellish it and further obscure it's origins, and Steel used his reputation as a spook to give it gravitas and providence.

Steel (may) be arguing that "they" - Blumenthal and Shearer - put his name on dirty double dealing. We'll see about that eventually.

The Hillary campaign cut out the middleman to keep the funding source from running afoul of campaign finance regulations. By hiding it's origin as "opposition research", the Clintons and the DNC avoided listing it on Federal Election Commission reports as "opposition research". They needed to avoid that label to give the always cooperative MSM journalistic cover. This also served to make Steels dossier even more juicy because it came from a British spy. No word yet if said British Spy had a blond on his arm.

So that is my take.

The problem with Republicans and the Steele dossier is they make a fundamental error:

They insist that because Steele did work for Hillary, that this automatically invalidates his findings. That's false.

1. Steele is not paid by clients to fabricate stories. His business depends on his reputation. He's a former head of the MI6 Russia desk. He's paid to get real information.

2. He came to the FBI on his own out of concern for America.

The real question that we should be asking Congress to seek criminal charges against everyone including Hillary and, President Obama because they are mentioned in several reports. Not a plea deal because we have to make it clear that anyone who wants to undermine this country’s election we don’t have any problem of seeking criminal charges against anyone Powerful or not and, we will because no one is above the law, Hillary! This whole thing is a pretty much a joke! Here’s my reason why I think that. We only hear about the Federal Bureau of Investigation but, why not the National Security Administration which is more appropriate oversight of this wasting time. It’s pretty pathetic that we’re wasting our resources on a stupid election over preventing what happened in Florida shame on you democrats because you’re tieing FBI up with the most pathetic excuse. What if Trump did it? Impeachment would happen, but it will not elect Hillary. Period here’s the tissue

Im not sure if the public has the fortitude to keep up the pressure long enough to actually get the answers we deserve. I don't know how deep the corruption runs and I don't think we will ever know. Those responsible are stonewalling and waiting it our for the public go tire out. The cynical side of me thinks that it's going to work.
