Christopher Steele is the former head of the MI6 Russia desk. He's an expert in intelligence about Russia. If he warns us about a Russian plot it would be gross negligence to ignore him.

But Christopher Steele is not the only one who warned our intelligence officers about a Russian plot. Australia also warned us.

Republicans are trying to make it sound like the dossier was just stuff Hillary just made up. But Christopher Steele has a solid reputation an an intelligence expert on Russia. Moreover, the idea that they would create a fake dossier to spy on Carter Page, of all people, makes no sense. What could they possibly hope to get from listening to Cater Page? Were they hoping that Trump would call Carter Page late at night and confess to murdering a bunch of hookers? This conspiracy theory makes absolutely no sense.
