There's kind of a good reason why, when discussing gun control issues, we compare ourselves to stable, developed democracies rather than corrupt autocracies or all-out war zones. At that point the comparisons stop being especially relevant.

Five people were killed and several others were injured after a gunman opened fire with a hunting rifle on people leaving a church service in Russia's Dagestan region on Sunday, Russian media outlets reported

NRAs FAULT!

Guns are VERY difficult to get in Russia.,,So much for THAT argument.

I’ll bet the Russians hold the gunman responsible rather than the gun.

Dagestan is an area with a long history of armed conflict. No, it is not particularly hard to get a gun there.

The capital city of Dagastan, Makhachkala, is one of the most violent cities in the world.

That is where Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev - The Boston Bombers - grew up.

He always follows the same formula. He posts a perfectly valid news story that would be well worth a discussion and then immediately flames his own OP.

I guess you aren't familiar with Russia's gun laws?

Again--- Dagestan is an area with more than one active terrorist group. It is not hard to get a gun there.

Cmon say it! ... Its full of Muslims?

Except for the fact that the Russian mafia, which isn't full of Muslims, makes it just as easy to get a gun elsewhere in Russia.

So no. Your incredibly obvious attempt fails. As usual.

The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the murder near the Dagestani church 18 February.

In fact, there are a lot of weapons in Dagestan and this is not considered an extraordinary thing, despite the all-Russian prohibitive law.
